Auto updater

My suggestion is an auto updater for the bot ^^ simple like that, then we haven't keep downloading the bot from the site...

They come for scripts, that's no excuse, I think...

Thats a pretty good point imo, besides downloading the bot, coming for scripts and other stuff should be more than enough, an option to update when there is an update would be nice i guess.

I am with Martin, an option to update from the bot would be great, but Autoupdate by default not cool. Take for example update 3.0, it broke several scripts that had to be rewritten in order to work with the new stuff.

There downsides to this.

Some people play on an OT.

Some people like to stick to whatever version works for them and only update if necessary.

I do not see any point of having an auto updater.

I mean, is it really that hard to see the "News" when you open up Xenobot?

There is a date of most recent update displayed as well.

You can see updates within the bot before injecting, this way you can press Download directly from there

At least a version of the bot display in the interface, to we check if it is updated :)
