[HELP] BATTLEFIELD 3

Hey guys, so I have a question for some of the techies on this forum, I built a gaming rig over Christmas, I bought Battlefield 3 and ran it no problem at my house on my shitty connection. BUT, when I came back to college after Christmas break (awesome wired connection), I noticed only 10% of the time I could actually join a match. Right when the BF3 client opens it just keeps saying "loading.." at the bottom right hand corner, then after about 15 seconds the client stops and then it says "game disconnected: could not join server" in my battlelog window. Now, sometimes with some luck I can actually join the match and once I'm in I'm in, even after the round ends I don't get kicked or anything. Another weird thing is that I can play other games like Planetside 2, Tibia, Crysis 3 Beta, and Team Fortress without ANY issues at all.

Heres some of the steps I've taken that EA suggested:

-Update Punkbuster
-Allow BF3 through Firewall
-Renamed my Battlefield 3 folder in My Documents
-Update graphical drivers
-Turned off the Cloud saving/sharing in BF3 in Origin
-Repair my BF3 install

And so far none of these steps have even came close to solving my problem, they said to call back tomorrow and if it didn't work they would escalate my open case to a specialist and see what they can do, but for the mean time, does anyone here on the forums have any suggestions? I would like to get this fixed ASAP.

Deleted the game and reinstall.

I'm guessing to do this you have to know the Universities router admin/pass to access it, which they won't give out. But I'm using a wired connection so shouldn't I not have to worry about the router?

You need access to the router in order to disable it, doesnt matter if you use wired or wireless =/

hmmm so frustrating, waited 50 minutes to get a hold of an EA specialist and we talked for about 10 minutes and the call was lost...
