XenoBot OT? Anyone interested?

I've been botting like crazy, playing manual for fun and yet... Still looking for more to do.

I've been thinking about starting an OT server for sometime and the XenoBot community looks like it could be a good place to find willing people. We could even use the OT server to help people practice making their scripts look/act less bot-like.

So, here is the deal. I'm looking for some people that wouldn't mind being GMs (and not power abuse), mappers, and scripters for the server. I'll host the server behind a true commercial IP in my rack.

I work 60+ hours a week at Microsoft so I'll need some help. Who is in?

I saw that thread. That is kinda what gave me the idea. We have a pretty good group of people here that like to both play and bot Tibia. What better to do with your off-time (while the bot runs) than to help map/script an OT server? :D

I actually jumped on an OT server just to try to make my own script. I think that alone makes a project like this worth it. Better botting scripts. More realistic scripts.

I'd be up for it for sure, i could get to learn mapping again, was doing that alot when the 7.6 OT's was famous.

i mapped on early tibia maps aswell as gm'd, i would like to jump on the train

Xeno OT was tried earlier without great succes, however if it's somehow advertised overall and gets some members it would be sick! :)

However was some time ago I played OT so probably gonna join :)

I can map too. I just started making an 8.6 one a few days ago, so far got the beginning of a city and a nice ass tp room.

Awesome! I'll get something setup so we can start messing around with it this weekend. Hoping to start with the latest version of Tibia that they make an OT server for and go from there.

As promised some more details about the up and coming XenoOT server.

It is a 9.60/9.61 compatible client. Gonna need to vote at some point on what type of server it is (Open PvP ect). The server is up and running right now but it is mostly default stuff so I'm not giving out info just yet. I've got a mapper working on something to get it started. All the people that replied here that want to map, start sending me stuff and I'll forward them off to him to integrate into what he is working on. We are gonna want all sorts of areas so I'm sure what you make can get used.

Server info will be put up as soon as the server is running a custom map!

Id sure help :p my nets too sucky to play real tibia atm. I have quite a bit of GM/Mapping experience with some other big OT's that are still going strong :p

Sounds good. I'd love to start to see some maps flow my way! If you have any good ideas throw them at me too. Try to draw some of the energy from your favorite areas in Tibia or other OTs (don't steal areas though).

I'd suggest Hardcore PVP or PVP Enforced mode, anything else is just boring imo :P

Alright, so I've been trying to post a reply here for a while and keep getting told the site is down... Although I can refresh and it works... DNS must still be Fed up somewhere.

If you have been working on a map, send me a PM and I'll send you the email address to send your work to. I've got a guy working on the map and he is ready to start implementing other people's spawns/islands/whatever you've been working on!
