View Full Version : New Looter option, possible?
Hey, was just watching my bot run around and around and noticed how bad it looks when say, you enter the screen and throw an exori hur at a monster that is basically dead from another player who has been attacking it. Now they give you the whole "?????????" "RESPECT" but for me it's just frustrating that it goes and wastes a few seconds trying to loot that body.
Is it at all possible for a parametre if exp gained is less then X, don't loot that targeted monster?
regards
Seems like a good point because unless you get the majority of of the exp then you cant loot, but the problem is figuring what percent to set it at. 50% will work unless three people kill the same monster then the exp will be 33%~ or more too loot. The problem is that the percentage of exp and whether or not you can loot are not always consistent.

Does anyone know why my bot loots mob FIRST after it kills 1 even though i have LAST on and i want to kill everything and then loot? I hunt manually on Souleaters but i have looting on platinum, enabled and LAST. Still after first souleater it goes and loot when i have 5 otehrs on me and just runs into them..

... or, xenobot could simply include a way to read the chat logs and we would never even have this issue to start with.
If server log doesnt get a message with loot ( OR LOOT YOU DONT WANT), bot simply wont open the corpse. Ive requested this before, I think its essential for a bot to have, I have no clue why darkstar wont do it. It most certainly most be possible. If more ppl vouche for it, it might be done.

How does the bot know to ignore the empty bodies?

Indeed what Ive been asking myself. Apparently its reading the messages in some way, why not go all out on it...
for certain respawns it would be good to atleast be able to set a figure in the looter that meant that creature would not be looted, I also think this would be fairly light from a cpu perspective. It would also stop you from looting rubbish monsters that at best drop 10gp~

You need to have gained the most exp from the kill.. So if there's two players attacking it (you + another player) then you would need to have gained at least 51% of the experience to be able to loot the corpse. This would work for instances like that but what if there was 3 players attacking the same monsters.. then you would need to have gained more experience then the other two players, I'm not sure how the bot would be able to detect that.
If the bot was able to read server log then I'm sure the looting system could be improved, not to mention if we were able to read server log we could make quite a few other areas of Xenobot improved and greatly increase the capability of our scripts. I saw a thread yesterday about someone looking to read the amount of gold they have in their bank, although it isn't easily possible at the moment .. it would be quite easy if we could read server log. It would also be nice for some scripts to run to a safe location if 'x' raid was occurring. Ex. if (DarashiaRaid) then Walker.Goto("depot") end
Maybe eventually we'll be able to read server log and see improvements such as this.

I've been wondering but have never actually asked or suggested this... It really does puzzle me why it's not implemented into every bot but of course I'm no developer so I don't have the slightest clue how hard, easy or detectable this could be - Although I would assume looting corpses that aren't your for hours on end is a pretty damn sure sign of a bot and is very stupid imo. (no offence or hate towards xenobot or anything, xenobot is awesome but looting corpses that aren't ours is very stupid and not unique to xenobot)
