Removing Key-Loggers

Xenobot Commute, I believe i have a key logger in my laptop, and wanted some help with how i could remove this threat without formatting my computer, since i have a lot of stupid and random shit i will forget to re-download plus all the memories :').....sooo help please!

Just back everything up onto a flash drive or external hard drive then format and put everything back lol

If he does it he won't really be safe after format anyway lol, since he doesn't know where the key logger is located. If you are too lazy to download antyvirus program, just try some online scanner, ie. http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/
If you are Windows 8 user you can also scan your computer with Windows Defender which should be good enough for most viruses.

i have malwarebytes + avast, but they seem to read nothing... ill try this online scanner, thank you (y)

Well, not really if he wants to back stuff up on flash drive. It wouldn't be active/running tho until he ran the infected file again.

Hendy i can only think of 2 things that i downloaded that could have cause this (maybe 3 but unlikely).
1.a tibia 8.6 client, from tibia-client
2. a ip changer from the same page ^^^
3.a new version of tibia cast and xenobot <- this is the unlikely ones....

those where the only things i downloaded related to tibia before one of my money makers account was hack... didn't loose much like 1kk.. but i want to prevent this from happening again.. the other theory may be that that i was a random hack, but that is really unlikely

Maybe you registered somewhere using the same password as your tibia or email account? Or if your account name was the same as your character's name and your password wasn't too complicated it could be easy to just crack it :)

yea i downloaded straight from the site, so thats why its unlikely or DarkstaR is hacking people now ;p or it was the stupid client shit and ip changer

see thats the weird thing, since i downloaded the client and ip changer, i knew i had a risk of being hack so i log in in a noob char for 2 weeks just to test out + running anti virus etc and nothing was amiss, so confident me log in ALL 4 of my money making accounts and main account and happy botting for that day, but the next day only one account was hacked, i check the others ones in another computer and they were all save..which got me thinking maybe it was a random hit.. but who knows..

8.6 client from tibia-client wouldnt be it, downloaded that multiple times as well as other friends have and never been hacked neither have they
ip changer, not sure, check that out

Don't download things from shady webs/people. Always use www.virustotal.com . Don't download any "cracks" related to tibia, they're all packed with viruses. Download & Use AVG.

They have a great free download, If you don't want to purchase it.
I guarantee its better then all these other anti virus programs people have suggested.

AVG causes more false positives then any other anti virus besides Norton.

If it was a keylogger then all your accounts would be hacked so i don't think you have a keylogger you must have been hacked by the 'friend' who knows your info or could work it out or maybe your siblings another could be you have used the same info on an ot or open tibia forum

edit: another reason why you don't have a keylogger is because MBAM and Avast are 2 of the best you can get (even the free versions!) and if they haven't detected it then it probably isn't there
