I got an android viper.. but I don't pay for the hotspot service to make my device portable wireless connection. Its just got its own unlimited internet plan

Is a reciever a seperate device or chip , usb? Does the reciever allow normal cord computers with a tower etc.. to use wiifi for internet?

Yes exactly what you said, usually USB but can also be like a wireless card with an antenna that you must install like graphics card etc.

Yo man I did try that it made me get foxfi too , and I got it all setup but didn't work.

Ye, I used usb tethering. But it was awhile ago when I used pdanet so idk if smthng has changed.

No, I didnt download the one from market. I used a cracked one which was an older version.
