I think "3 - 5 - 9 - 15 - 23 - 33- 45"

as an answer to complete it you are adding even numbers etc.

+2, +4, +6, +8, +10, +12.

3+2=5
5+4=9
9+6=15

If you know what i mean :)

In first one that '23' kinda does not make sense :P It there was no '23' then it would be "2 times previous number minus 1" so it would look like this:
3,5,9,17,33,65,129
