I've two questions:

Do you know any GOOD English/Spanish Forums specially for Gym/Bodybuilding etc?

And about the protein shakes, they are the same for beginners as for advanced bodybuilders/fitnessboys, I really like Optinum Nutrition. It's the best taste with water which I've ever tried and will never drink anything else again (Has also BCAA's in the shakes so shouldn't buy pills anymore :p)

haha everyone getting jack up for the summer :P

well im a beginner as well, at the end of this week ill have completed my first month in the gym

i got this protein, which is really good in rocky road flavor (i think its the same one Nostrax uses) : http://www.amazon.com/Optimum-Nutrition-Standard-Double-Chocolate/dp/B002DYIZH6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1370430579&sr=8-2&keywords=gold+standard+whey+protein

and im currently doing this workout plan (with other routines as well and im already seeing results) : http://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/8-week-novice-quick-start-workout-plan

and some advice: dont try to do too much too quick you'll burn yourself out and when you dont get the results you were hopping for you'll get discourage and stop going to the gym, like my trainer says "this is a life style not a season thing!" (then he makes me do push ups haha fucking trainer)

Bro, its not like "this protein shake works for me, and this other one works for someone else".

MY first tip: Dont do this halfway, u wont get any muscles at all then. Go ALL OUT and learn EVERYTHING, how the body works and why we gain muscles and so forth.

Good tecnique (spelling???) over weight, ALWAYS. With that said, always try to lift heavier. I like http://www.simplyshredded.com/ , besides that I only read swedish forums and stuff.

Personally I prefer "lean gains", read more about it here: http://www.leangains.com/

Kinda depends on your genes and if you ever been /fit before.
I can slack and get pretty decent results after first few weeks, but I only get to the "base" stage of my musclebuilding, everything from there takes long time to build up, like you mentioned.

Yea u'll see results the first 2 to 6 months but if U'd like to reach anything in this sport u'll have to train over 4 years with a strong diet and a high intensity of your training, and be consistant!

Also like somebody said before, good form and technique above heavy weights!

Since you've just started I'd like you to check out these:

http://scoobysworkshop.com/
http://askscooby.com/
http://youtube.com/user/Scooby1961

It's pretty much the same guy. His website, his forum and his youtube channel. He's like 52 and his body is probably build better than any 25 year old's these days. o_O

The reason I'm mentioning him is because he got me into this whole bodybuilding stuff. D: And beside everything, his website/forum is completely free, anyone can share their opinion and there's not a single thing like "Order this and you'll lose 25 lbs in a month!"

And the community there is great. Just for example. I love XenoBot because of the community, there's no such thing with other bots and it's the same thing with these bodybuilding forums. bodybuilding.com is full of retards and that pretty much kept me away this whole time, I've never registered there, askscooby.com on the other hand is more like amateur bodybuilding forum, there's a lot of friendly people trying to help as much as they can, and of course there's a few retards as well like everywhere else.

And of course, I wouldn't mention all of that, if it didn't worked for me. o_O I've lost 27 kg (59.5 lbs) - pure fat :( - since January and now I'm off to bulk up. D: Of course I've quit Tibia since then, became vegetarian and later on even vegan, but that's whole another story. :)

And about supplements, I unfortunately am not so much into bodybuilding stuff yet, I'm just like you starting to get my head into this whole thing. xD

You couldn't be any further off. If this was bodybuilding.com i would neg the crap out of you right now.

OP, don't listen to this at all.

You will see gains and improvement consistently if you train properly and keep your diet in check. Dieting is key when trying to change your body. Your body is a reflection of what you put inside of it. There is no time frame on when you will see results and when you will plateau. If you train hard and hit your macros you will see results. There are stages where it seems difficult to continue gaining however this is different for everyone. If you are trying to gain, remain eating at a calorie surplus. Opposite if you're trying to lose.

I'm a health science major and ex-"ectomorph".

People who give you time frames are uneducated on this topic and should do a bit more homework.

As far as supplements go, if you dont have your diet in check there is no point for supplements. Supplements are exactly that -- a supplement. They assist your already good dieting habits. Dont take supplements and expect gains if youre eating mcdonalds and crap food (you can still see results but not as much as you would if you ate clean). Eat well, and take the proper supplements and youll see results. A protein, creatine, Multi-Vitamin, and Fish Oil are pretty much the basics. There are more supplements but these should get you started.

Nostrax is right. Form and technique are WAY more important than the weight youre lifting. This needs to be understood before doing anything. When you go to the gym, check your ego at the door. There will always be someone stronger and bigger. Don't try and show off in the gym, youll look like a tool.

You have to eat enough proteins and carbo, not everything which you can find in your fridge :p bodybuilders diet is very hard, but very healthy, you have to eat fresh meat, fishes, cottage cheese, vegetables, fruits and pasta or rice.

edit
btw most of gainers are shits, with a lot of sugar

You have to buy Whey protein ( that it is taken after the workout session) and then buy Casein protein ( that it is taken during the anabolic proces while you are sleeping). I have been going to the gym during 2 years, and this works perfect. Then you could add some creatine and BCAA's.

You're obviously misinformed, so then let people who live for training talk about it, please. No need to spread bad information.

And also, whoever said anything about fat burners... lol. Do you belive in god aswell? Buying fatburners is like praying. If you belive it works, it works. but IRL it dont do shit.

I agree that diets need to be strict and kept to and can do a lot of change but the whole eating 5 times a day is a myth, however, it may help prevent against snacking and managing against hunger if you're trying to lose weight.

green tea is also important during bulking since with every work out the stress put onto your body causes it to produce a lot of oxidant substances which are fought out by the anti-oxidants contained in green tea and therefore speeding up the recovery process bro ^^

I've been going to the gym also lately, found one close my house and around 2 till 4 nobody is there, got a free gym all for myself^^ Question; whats smart to eat on bread? or should I eat crackers with chicken and egg white only? Is there more I can eat? I asume eating egg white isen't that healthy twice a day. And is it oke to eat bread too in the evening when parents eat something like pizza?

1. Bread is mainly for the carbohydrates, if u are about to eat bread, eat whole-wheat one!
2. About your egg issue.. It is never proven that egg whites/yolks are bad for your health, I eat 2-6 eggs a day, the whites + the yolks. Why the yolks? Because a medium sized egg contains 7 grams of protein (av.), 4 grams is in the white but the other 3 are in the yolks, also all the good foodsources are INSIDE the yolk!
3. Yes, u can eat bread in the evening! :)

You guys need to stop drinking the protein shakes, and drinking cola.
Stop lifting the weights, and lift a lighter,
Stop rolling to the gym, and start rolling up joints.

At least it should be "whey 80", if you can afford it "whey 100". Doesn't really matter what brand you use.

Best p-shake I've tasted is Optimum Nutrition, 100% Egg Protein, 908 g, costs around 37 eur.

The worst I've tasted and still running on is Star Nutrition, Soy-Pro, 1 kg Chocolate and Berry blend.

I can't drink milk protein since I'm allergic to it and I've my doubts if my stomach is tolerant to eggs aswell, thats one of two reasons why I bought Soy protein the other reason is that it was 21% off on a big pack :p

Or roll a joint and smoke it on the way to the gym. ;)

Shakes are just convenient, not magic muscle building powders. If you can't fit enough protein into your diet, then yeah, drink a shake. Otherwise, you probably don't need it.

There's a guy on my server that takes testosterone at 23. I didn't really say anything, I'm just gonna laugh when he's 35, impotent and has moobs.

:)

I would say that shakes are inexpensive protein :)

I would say that shakes are inexpensive protein :)

Just adding this:
Protein shakes is probably the absolut worst thing someone thats trying to lose weight can use. It's soo much calories in most protien shakes.

Whey80 is like 120calories in each "dose" or whatever you want to call it. (If I were to drink shakes, I would spend almost 1000 calories on just the powder) and I rather spend those on eating proper insted :)

You don't need any protien powder.
You don't need pre work outs. - INFACT THIS CAN BE A REALLY REALLY BAD THING! I know some people that can barly workout without it now because they are used to the extra energy..
You don't need magic "vitamine" pills.

Just eat right and you'll be fine!

Also important notes before you start working out.
Ask yourself these questions:

What do I want?
Do I want to be strong as fuck? - Just strenght. - http://www.criticalbench.com/images/strongman/magnus2.gif this guy has been one of the strongest in the world. You cant tell that by looking at him right?
Do I want to "look good" ? - Aka low bodyfat. - http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4suh80tLu1r8acn2o1_500.png This guy has low bodyfat. His muscles are more visiable. Abs etc, tho.. prob. ALOT weaker than someone that trains for strenght.
Do I want to become big? - Aka volume. - http://www.instablogsimages.com/2013/09/rc1_wx2hc.jpg Someone that trains for mass!

These pictures takes years and years of training and are extreme cases :P But just to show you the diffrent styles.

Three totally diffrent ways and you do not train nor eat the same way. Also. There is nothing thats the best way to train. So you can try stuff out, but find YOUR WAY!
Genes matters alot and some people dont like certain stuff.. like I think isolation workouts sucks ass and I laugh at them. (Curls etc).

I am more of a stronglifter.. I like Squats and stuff that works on your whole body.

So when you lissen to peoples advice, consider what they are doing and how they are training first.

For example: Nostrax is a nr 2. He wants low BF. He deffs and goes on diets. I wouldnt lissen to his advice when it came to my own workout for example as I am a stronglifter. We train 2 diffrent styles, and I believe he wouldnt lissen to me either because I train so diffrently from him. (I hope that you do not get offended Nostrax, I do not mean anything by it).

To sum it all up:
You do not need supliments. Do not believe they will do any magic for you.

Know exactly what you want before you enter the gym. What style you are going for and what your end goal is.

When taking advice, consider their style first and how it effects your style.

they have mass gainer protein. the protein I take is only 120 calories for 1 serving with 25 grams of protein mass gainer has 800+ calories with 50+ grams of protein per serving plus the milk or ice cream you want to add with it lol that would bulk you up :)
