[MiddleMan] How this service works ?

As I'm coming back to tibia world, I would like to ask how the "middle man" service works. I see everyone telling about it and I didn't find any explanation about the subject.

The only thing that I know is that's a person that intercepts a trade between two people that don't have any suficcient vouch to prove that he's honest.

Could you guys explain what steps to take when a account is sold, when the money is sent, etc.. The step by step process?

I think that this kind of guide should avoid some scams.

First - find the middle man. Some people on forums are essentially businessmen and are VERY trusted. If they are known for being middle man they might charge a small fee.

Second - decide how secure you want it. You can just get recovery key using middle man and have the trade done in a day.

OR you can get a confirmation key from the seller, through the middle man, and make your own RK.

OR you can have the middle man change the home address on the account and hold the RK and give you the RK once the address is changed (takes a MONTH).

THEN you can either have the middle man hold your money and the account info until you recieve a confirmation key (takes ~2 MONTHS) OR you can say you're satisfied without the confirmation key and finish the trade.


My personal advice - just buy from someone that's very trusted. There are many great sellers on here that offer prices just as good or better than people that don't have any 'street cred'
