View Full Version : Game server not responding / Tibia freezes

Hello everyone!

I got a issue with my Tibia client.

Whenever I log into the game and do something, like hunting, making spells. When I try to log out by clicking CTRL+L or just clicking on the "log out icon" my tibia freezes and then this comes up:

"Warning.. Game server not responding. Please wait"

And with that said.. I can't log out normaly, I have to wait for aproximately 30 seconds.

If I just log in into the game and I try to log out in 5 seconds, it works.

Things I've done:

* System reset
* Turning off/on upnp
* Updating my grafficdrivers
* Re-installed Tibia

I have no idea what to do next, it is driving me crazy...

It's not your fault. Everybody has these problems atm.

Mish.. I know that some of the users has this problem but that is not my case, been like this for 2 months. The problem also stays on OTs.

Try installing the "leatrix latency fix." You can find it on google.

@xiaospike (http://forums.xenobot.net/member.php?u=4989) Portforward? You mean that I should open the ports 7171 or something like that?

That's not going to fix anything so don't waste time.

Okey DarkstaR.

Do you have any other suggestions? Because it is driving me crazy..

Seems like you just have high latency. Probably an ISP problem. Tell them to get their shit together.

Get XENO MC and open a second client, then when you want to switch chars or w/e it is you're trying to do just use the extra client :P

Seems odd, because I got 250 MB/s.. This problem stays only with Tibia. Weird...

I'm at school now, I don't really remember my computer spec but the computer is good overall. I am able to play every game on high, expect battlefield 3.

GTX 560 ti
8 GIG ram

etc etc

Problem is your GPU or CPU, You should try change around in ur nvidia setting, specific for Tibia!!! Dont mess around with all other game just tibia.

This probably has nothing to do with GPU/CPU problems. It's connection related, so as DarkstaR said, your problem is probably with latency/ping. The servers HAVE also been getting DDoSed, so it's possible it might just be a result of that...

I was on a Skype Convo with Joshwa534 & Syntax and It was lagging hard as fuck until I portforwarded Skype.

For tibia: My char was walking like it had a dildo up its ass until I portfowarded. (Not to confuse with QoS)

So maybe its worth a shot?

It has nothing to do with the DDoS attacks on RL tibia, because I have the same problem on OT servers.

Is there any possibility that you could teach me how to do it?

I'd love to hear anything that could speed things up

Port forwarding sounds like its worth a shot? Any negatives? Keep in mind I have no sea how its done

Since there are alot people with good computers that have the exact same problem (I've read around for my friend) its probably not his internet( could be internet deliverer) and noone found a solution

Google is your best friend.

Might not solve anything. But if anything, it eliminates the possibility of it being a problem.

Port forwarding only tells your router where to route INBOUND connections on a specified port within your subnet. Go ahead and try a "netstat -a -o" with Tibia running. It does not listen for any connections, meaning there's no reason to forward ports for it.

Think of your router having 65536 pipes coming in to it, and splitting those in the 65536 * n pipes, n being the amount of computers on the network, each getting one set of 65535. When they send data out of those pipes, it always dead-ends at the splitter with one path to follow - the single input pipe corresponding to that port. However, when connections come into those pipes, they have n routes to choose from and cannot specify which one they want. That is where port forwarding comes in - it tells the incoming connections which path on the splitter to take.

You can, but it wont help. If it does somehow help, it's likely that the real issue is that your router needed a restart (which many routers do via software after forwarding a port). TL;DR: Try restarting your router?

Did not work... I have absolutely no idea why it's like this.

Turn on "Diagnostic Information" in the "Pathfinder" on Xenobot. Watch the "Ping" value (top left) and keep moving (ping updates as your character walks). See if there's any huge spikes. I'm fairly sure you problem is just spikes in ping that last long enough to drop the TCP stack.

TL;DR - The internet is a series of tubes.

Essentially, yes. Every connection is a cluster of 65536 "tubes" (ports), and each endpoint is an IP address. The routers direct between endpoints using IP address. Its only when you hit an intranet (a local network of computers exposed to the internet by only a single IP-Address) that ports help direct the direction of information flow.

Also, the tubes are very very very tiny and carry only a few electrons at a time..

I've got the same problem as you and I've also got 250MB/s. I will try to order a new router from my internet provider and see if it works afterwards. This doesn't only affect my own logout but if I try to host my own open tibia server, everyone else gets my problem when they die or try to logout. It is definately something with the internet/internet provider. I might switch provider.

I know this thread is really old but i still have this issue and i was wondering if anyone has a fix for it.
