Hey guys,

As some of you may or may not have read I had problems with my HWID changing randomly, locking me out from using XenoBot.

Now, my HDD is making a fucked up noise since a few days and after running a healthcheck on it it turns out it's about to explode anytime now. That thing won't last much longer.

I ordered a new one, but my HWID will change. The last time my HWID changed I was locked from XenoBot for 8 days so this time will be even longer.

Am I doomed to wait until I can change my HWID on my XenoBot account? Or can DarkstaR make a workaround for this as it's a hardware change in the PC I've always used?

Thanks in advance,

reecey

There's most likely no problem at all with your HDD, a reformat would probably fix it, just wait for your xenobot to end then put your new one in.

Try deleting a bunch of stuff (multiple gigs) then do a defrag. This should fix up your HDD enough to get by how long is left of your xenobot.

(Ignore this if you have physically damaged your HDD)

HDD's have a lifespan and if your is nearing the end of it I'd suggest instead to backup any critical data now as its much cheaper than data recovery later.

My HDD is almost 7 years old so it's most likely reaching it's lifespan.

I rather fix it now than when it's dead. :-/

The change time start from your last change and maxes at 14 days. So, if it's been 14 days since your last change, it would be fine when you get a new one.
