A rare item IS money... Some people prefer to store their wealth in items that can only grow in value or never decrease (in the foreseeable future). That said, no one knows which is the richest server since world transfer fucked everything up and not everyone shares their secrets of what items they have. You can only assume the richest world is the one in which you are told about what rares are there but that assumption could be and probably would be false

Still though, you say "all of the old rares" assuming we know all of the old rares. There may be items only a select few know about which is unlikely but still possible, a great example would the be spike sword on rook, was it ever obtainable? does someone have it? is it still obtainable? No one knows anymore, there's too many conflicting stories.
