I noticed many people complain about walking latency. Not everybody knows some little trick that may change your gameplay dramasticaly.
I will show 3 ways on how to fix walk latency
PROXY TUNNELING
If you live in the same country as the tibia server you shoudln't have latency. However if live in another country you may have to get a Proxy tunneling service.
There are several services available .
Pingzapper
Semlag
tibiatunnel

there are many more available those are just few that i can remenber on top of my head.
You may ask how a proxy tunneling can help my latency?
A: Everytime you walk on tibia your client sends a packet to tibia servers, this packets passses by route before getting into the server. So the proxy tunneling basicly works by sending the packets in a shorter route.

LEANTRIX LATENCY FIXER

What does it do?

Leatrix Latency Fix will reduce your online gaming latency significantly by increasing the frequency of TCP acknowledgements sent to the game server. For the technically minded, this is a program which will modify TCPAckFrequency.

You will see reduced latency in many online games including World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2, Diablo 3, Star Wars, Rift, Aion, Warhammer, Lord of the Rings, and more.

I have shown this program to many people that have latency issues, after they used it people said their latency improved quite a lot.

OPTIMIZE KEYBOARD DELAY

this reduces your delay on keyboard. you must restart your computer to the changes take effect. there is a tutorial in portuguese hosted in a brazilian official fan site.
but you can just use the file they made .

Did anybody test it?

I'm using Leatrix and works great.

Is it optimal to use all 3 programs? or just 1. This post is very informative, unfortunate there aren't any review or test results.

All 3 fixes will work simultaneously, however I'd be cautious when using the last one since it edits your registry, could do unexpected shit that you really don't want done to your PC - nothing against OP here, but registry changes are always pretty dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

Leatrix: Stops your network buffer from creating delays while waiting for data to build up before sending - thus reducing latency. Think of it like a queue, and when the queue has 10 people in, your network adapter will serve those 10 people, Leatrix makes it so you only need 5 people in the queue in order to serve them all.

Proxy: Uses private networks (not owned strictly by your ISP) to provide either a shorter, or higher quality connection to the server than you would otherwise have. Typically means that instead of having your connection travel 500 miles to the data centre on a bumpy road, it might only travel 100 miles on a smooth & straight road.

The keyboard fix: I've no clue what this does, but I'd advise just getting a PS/2 keyboard & mouse and adapters if they only support USB. I believe PS/2 plugs not only allow higher n-key rollover, but they also have less latency as the PS/2 drivers are far better integrated than USB ones (data doesn't have to go through the horrid USB protocol).

Appreciate the response!! think ima pass on the keyboard link, and use proxy and leatrix. I'll let everyone know how it goes, once i get my wifi back up and running [:

I think, walking not smoothly isn't caused by proxy or anything else. The bot walks in the way it can't catch a witch or a hunter on 83 lvl...
I used optimizing keyboard delay
