Hello,

Before I go to the store purchasing a new Router I wanted to ask here, as I've googled too many hours already without any results:

I got a D-Link router that have worked perfectly until two days ago. Normally, when the Ethernet cable is plugged in, it is a blue light on the "globe" representing internet connection. Something happened I do not know what, but suddenly it became orange, meaning no internet connection. I've tried to restart it, re-configure it and such but with no succes, still there is the orange globe instead of blue.

I've tried to unplug both the modem and the router for hours before plugging together again and re-configure the router without success.

The modem gives internet access, cuz when I plug the Ethernet straight into computer it works.

There is no problems otherwise, cuz I can access the router via ip and connect to it, the problem is for the router to connect to the ethernet cable coming from the modem.

Any help or recommendations to do before I'm purchasing a new one? :)

I had a D-Link to that did that before but that was.. When I restart it once it would become orange but when I restarted it once again it would work :P So I had to .. Restart (wait) restart (work) : )

In your case I am not sure..

Care to tell us how?

All I did was to unplug everything, start the router without any connections, re-configure it, plugged in the modem, let it wait until it was online and then plug together and restart.

Seems very odd since I must've tried this at least 5 times before, but I think the key was to let the modem get online before connecting, not sure how this can cause any problem anyways, maybe was cuz I've had everything off the past 2 days.

I dont wanna analyze it further since I'm not a pro on it so just gonna look stupid xD
