This is an application in C# to set the framerate of Tibia clients down to a custom amount of FPS. Written really quick but will be updated periodically.

Disclaimer
This application is not intended to be used on dynamic botting sessions but rather simple tasks like training or making runes. For these tasks it can be used completely AFK.


FAQ
What's the problem?
As you may already know Tibia doesn't allow us to go below 10 FPS which is really annoying if you run several clients (Alternative Client Solutions (http://forums.xenobot.net/showthread.php?19129-Alternative-Multiclient-Solution)).

What's the solution?
Xenobot is a bot for Tibia that does everything without the need of graphics. Therefore, TLF or Tibia Low Framerate allows you to set all supported versions of Tibia with a custom amount of FPS between 1 and 100 and run as many clients as you want.

Does this application modify the client?
Yes, it overwrites the value set in the memory of the supported Tibia client with the custom FPS. Therefore, if you believe it makes you get a ban DO NOT USE IT.

Is this the same that Neobot used?
I wouldn't be able to tell if Neobot used this technique when the client was being minimized but it is not detectable AFAIK.

How much CPU usage should I have after using TLF?
It depends mostly on the scripts you are running with Xenobot but with graphics at 1 FPS the CPU usage fluctuates between 0 and 5%.

I still don't trust you, can I see the source code?
Sure you can. Check the links at the end of this post.

So this is not working, the fps looks small because tibia is stoped and when we let it run it calculates time passed when last fps was printed.
So when its stoped and we let it update its self for one time the time is passed like hell and tibia calculates that last frame was updated long time ago.

I've overwritten the only memory address I've found on each client version. It hasn't caused me deaths and I haven't seen any performance issues in a difficult hunting place (So far I tested in Vengoth and Chosens). I'm not quite sure there's more than one address but I'll double check it

Have you tried dicing with fps below 10?

Why does it bring so much performance improvement if you just change the refresh rate of displaying a new image? The background calculations of xeno for running/targeting/looting/healing are still at the same speed and i think thats the main workload for the cpu (isnt it?).

I actually have no idea how Xenobot internal functions works but I think it's more like it's injected in the functions that process packets so as soon as it receives one Xenobot starts processing the data. Some people tell me this app causes them performance issues and some others have no problem with it. I believe the best thing is that you test it with, let's say 1 fps and 100 fps and see if there's any difference.

However, it's insane if Cipsoft relies on framerate to run processes so IMO (Since I have not studied the structure of the client) drawing the window has nothing to do with internal processes.

Lol, I downloaded it when it was so fresh, that was written "xx minutes ago" ;)
And still nothing. I opened TLF and Client as administrator, but it didn't help. Even changed to DirectX 5, 9 and OpenGL.

I can't find a reason for the app not to find the client. What Windows version are you using? Is it a modified client? What Tibia version do you use? Do you have access to the admin account?

Everything seems to be ok. Something must be preventing the program from detecting the client but no idea what it could be. You should try on another computer

The minimum framerate recommended is 10 and that's why Cipsoft sets it as a limit. Any value under that may cause performance issues depending on what you intend to do

I recently lost my hard drive and a couple of things I needed to keep working on this project.

Tibia Low Framerate (TLF for short) has experienced a few changes in and out so make sure to give it a try and post here any feedback to continue updating the application. TLF will not support versions under 10.38 (included). It has been updated to the latest version ATM, 10.39.

Once you run the application this is the xenobot-like window will appear from where you can keep changing the frame rate of one or more Tibia clients.

Since I'm trying to keep my projects organized now, I have removed the link for the source code from the Dropbox folder. If you still want to have access to the code, please send me a private message and I'll gladly send it to you. Also, if you wish to include support for previous versions let me know.

Yes, apparently it takes more time to process internal messages therefore the disclaimer saying you should do only simple tasks like making runes or training

Depending on what you're hunting. You could go for 5 fps if it's something that doesn't require you to be constantly healing, generally casting several spells or hunting areas that can one-hit you (like deeplings, vengoth)

Like any other pointer, the address which you find and contains the value of the framerate limit is being pointed by another specific address in all clients. All you have to do is to find (with Cheat Engine in my case) which addresses access/write that one and it will show you what address you would be looking for..

The framerate is stored as a double value but the address you are looking for is 4 bytes. Once you find this new address you must add 0x58 as offset. After that, you just write in that address the value. Let's say you want 100fps. The value must be stored as: 1000 / 100 (fps) = 10. So in the end it should be something like this:

"Lag" when you switching between DX5 and DX7 and / or OpenGL, it depends by your Graphic Card, I don't have such situations when I switching Graphic Engine. Maybe this "Lag" is caused by your Graphic Card, maybe is too old or whatever, I don't know, but I know one, I don't have "Lag".

I have a laptop with AMD A8-4555M APU with Radeon HD Graphics. It's all about the processor, mine is 4x 1,6 Ghz, cuz it's a laptop made for Windows 8 which doesn't need that much processor speed anymore, since this system works much better then Winodows 7. As soon as I upgrade next month to a 8x 4 GHz and 16GB Ram, I should not have this problems anymore.

I have been using this for some time now since I run 4 clients at once and my laptop is kinda old... I usually set it up at 20 fps, because if you go a little lower it will lag the bot (you can actually see it from another character how your bot will go slow).
My question then is, what's the main difference between this program (which just changes the fps value) to the WindAddons program? it also lowers the cpu usage A lot, but it doesn't lag the bot (even though it says it sets the client to 1fps if it is minimized)
