After reading some stuff and finding out what the money is going towards, it's a pretty different story than what is put across.

I've worked in many social development volunteer works in many needy communities in Brazil and I have much experience in this area. This problem seems too easy to be solved according to the vision of this video, it isn't so simple as that - capture the guy and then everyone's gonna be happy. They have basical problems of education and sanitation, this isn't going to be fixed capturing or stopping the guy. The problem is a lot more critical, starting from the lack of caring by the government (which right now is a dictatorship) to these communities.

From all this I just got even more impressed about how strong and powerful are getting these new tecnhologies of communications nowadays.

I said 32%, its 37%, my bad but not much of a difference. Thats off their own website, by the way. There was an actual spreadsheet of expenses and it broke down like this:

Management & General:
-Salaries (Highest paid is 89,000$ annually)
-400,000$ a year corporate office

Awareness Programs/Awareness Products/Fundraising/Media and Film Creation
-Computer hardware
-Video editing software
-Video hardware
-A van with "Kony" painted on it (seen in the video)
-Stickers, posters, etc
-The documentary
-Flying back and forth to Africa

If you look at expense reports of other charities, they don't even begin to reflect eachother. The people who started this charity are just a bunch of film maker wannabes trying to find a way to put their "skills" to use.


I agree that people shouldn't suffer and that whats going on over there needs to be stopped, but I don't agree with IC's methods.

i rather not visit those websites, they even register how many users look at it and from where, "to call it a success" and then they will ask goverment resources, about what you mention on your comment, i said it wasnt accuarate because, the money send there its like you said 37% from that percent, they have to pay other stuff, and alot of other things, so basicly that 37% goes to total of 10% if not less, and they have their hole institution payed by people "with good intentions" wich makes it very sad.

dosnt matter how much they give they are never going to solve it.

what does matter its that people should know how they trick you in, to help people, and you should stop that shitt, do not click them, dont link them, dont send the videos........
if you want to help, start in your own country.

kony stuff is a load of crap you only hear one side of the story his men have been fighting the army for many yrs to claim back there towns, plus his not such a bad guy as the people in the west would have you think :P no one cared about him last week so once all the buzz dies down people will go back to not giving a dam :P why should we care about the worlds problems anyway, there the only people in the world to have been giving trillions of dollers in aid and still be listed as being a 3rd world country, beforte starting on knoy you should start at the top at gov level then work ya ways down ;) thats what i always say anyways if these video makers are so charitable why do they pay there ceo's and senior staff so much out of the donated moneys which is ment to be going there, as for the u.s sending 100 advisers, they just want to be seen as doing something (even when they know nothing will come of it) just so people think they didnt sit back ;) if ya know what i mean :D
