Had this on my mind for quite a while & simply put, I don't understand why people argue for the arguments sake.

I've seen/heard countless arguments that doesn't make any sense at all, I'll give you a brief example. This one's about music.

2 people were spamming a picture on Facebook regarding 2pac or w/e, and they ended up arguing about what hiphop artist is better than the other. Why? The stupidity amazes me, as this is a typical example where you will get nowhere arguing about it. It's all about preferences.

1. Have you ever thought about how incredibly stupid people can be when they open their mouths?
2. -||- when they argue?
3. Why do people do this? Is it to vent themselves from some kind of frustration they're holding back? What do you think?
4. Feel free to post examples.

That's pretty much it and yeah I don't understand why people argue about Messi or Ronaldo being the best it's all about personal preference neither on can be ruled as the best.. The argument could go on forever without a fucking conclusion.

Arguing on the internet is like running the special olympics, even if you win you're still retarded. sums it up pretty good
Irl you can just punch em in the face if they are retards ;)

Edit: and messi is better for sure end of story.

It depends on what kind of personality you have. People that usually tend to argue about unecessary/unimportant things are people who enjoy having "right" even though it might cost them their relationship with the other person they're arguing with.
Arguments about personal preferences are pretty much unecessary like what kind of musician is best. For example, I decide myself which rapper is sounds the best to me but when it comes to facts it's not about personal preferences anymore like who raps the most words in one minute.

I sure do agree with you that many arguments are very unecessary and stupid. Bringing up an argument in the wrong situation is what makes you unpopular between people and in some cases even lose your closest friends.
