A pre-release has been released. You can see which features are in it on the home page (http://xenobot.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=18&Itemid=199). It costs $10 USD to buy it, and I'm pretty sure if you buy the pre-release you dont have to pay for the full bot when it comes out.

It's already confirmed that if you buy a pre-release you don't have to buy for a completed version.



Furthermore, buying the Pre-Release gives you full access to the final release as well.

This is correct, if you purchase pre-release you are valid through the pre-release and into the final release. There are a limited number of pre-release spots open so keep this in mind if you are debating the choice.
