View Full Version : Most profitable amount of dicers?

Hey,

I've been in the "dicing business" for quite a while now and it's a lot less profitable nowadays than back in autumn 2013.

I've always been dicing on only one server and made around a quarter billion there. Of course I've been thinking about expanding onto other worlds but I was very busy irl at that time and simply had no time to maintain more dicers.
Now that I've got some more time on my hands, I've been wondering if expanding to other/more servers is still worth it considering the unpredictable deletions which occur with dicers and the big waste involved.

At first glance one could think that "the more servers, the more profit" - but taking deletions and their randomness into consideration I think the equation might be a little more tricky.
You have to consider costs/money for world transferring money, buying pacc scrolls, having a bank character on each server, starting money, having to sell KKs for less money because you don't know buyers on all servers you gamble on...etc.

So what do you think is the best amount of dicers to run? If I run 10 dicers and CipSoft suddenly feels the urge to delete all of them in one day, I lose 20-40kk.

And on top of that; when was the last time your dicers got deleted? Mine has gone through 29 days now and is still running. Kinda odd.

One in evert "populated" city would do some good profit.

seems nobody wants to share their dicing secrets :p
myself I dice 2 worlds where I have makers already. I thought about expansion but I would first need starting capital and then I'd have money stranded on a world I don't play so getting scrolls or making up for losses would be more challenges. There is already enough risk for my liking in terms of deletions. I too have gone some time without a deletion. In fact since I started dicing again I haven't had a deletion, and I'm even using one of the accounts I started dicing on last year. While xxxdicer2 and xxxdicer3 accounts were deleted xxxdicer1 account is still going strong:

so in my experience same name accounts =/= faster deletions.
