Reporting People for botting.

I occasionally report people that are like level 100 in a level 60 spawn which fucking pisses me off but i'm just wondering checking a couple of accounts all my reports are pending even though I sent them in a month ago. What is the point of these reports if they don't even process them?

I don't think reports are even a part of the detection system even though nobody has any idea how it works but it just seems to be an option for these people that want to "ban" people but it doesn't seem to take any effect so they must not even use these reports.

I think they just made reports an option for these no lifers that play 24/7 happy because they can "report" them and possibly ban them... which apparently never happens even if they are clearly botting.

Reports have a big effect. I just remember the top level of my server, 450 rp, who was botting. Then neutrals/enemies came and went into his spawn and mass reported him (probably like 20 reports) and the next day he got deleted...

But it depends on if cipsoft is focussing on your server. Back then they focussed on us so reports got processed within a week or so... many others got deleted aswell

This guy is an idiot. If you report other botters you help make botting more detectable by giving cip more information on movements and hunting techniques that the bot uses.

You don't have to insult people because they have different thoughts. And I am pretty sure CIP got all the spots covered already after so many years of botting basicly ruling and killing the game.

idk guy i still call BS on cipsoft i think they manually check us still and priority by world and lvl and how many reports you have. because if it was auto they wouldnt need reports and anyone hwo has played tibia remember the whole /ghost on command on TFS so i think they bluff to hard.

CipSoft has explained countless of times that the report feature was to help CipSoft improve their system, it was NEVER intended to strictly get people banned for cheating.

I have played Tibia since it was just Antica, and from what I can gather, once premium was offered it's been all about the money. Bots weren't even a second thought back then, and the mass ban waves were never on target. Based on statistics from NG and Blackd from those days, the ban waves barely skimmed the botter community, and most people were not botting accounts that were banned.

Generally, game bots will never go away completely. I think CIP is smart enough about that from their actions, that 10 premmy botter accounts is worth more than 10 free non-botter accounts. The only time a botter becomes a problem is weeks of farming the same area, in which many players come in, complain, and report.

I believe NeeP has it right. If you stay in common and popular areas and get reported many times over a certain period, expect a ban.

Sidenote: I have never been banned.

So if you're hunting at mutated humans and there is a level 200 hunting there when it's meant for people level 60 your telling me you wouldn't report them common sense.. I do it very occasionally

Bro, did you ever stop to think that maybe if your character is online and at the screen and actually reporting other botters in your spawn then it looks better on your account because you seem upset that your wasting your time when someone isn't even at their computer and ruining the game for you?

That's what I think anyways. Who really knows, it really just depends on a lot of shit. How often the account purchases premium, time online, responding to private messages, responding to people coming into your spawn etc...

But to be honest, I knew when I went back to Tibia and bought Xenobot that I could be deleted and possibly banned and waste my life.
That was my choice, if you don't like it.

Yep, this is what I do. If I am there trying to level and theres someone who could very obviously somewhere wayyyy better (I have seen 60 knights in thais sewer) then your getting reported or wasted. Personally, if your taking a spawn and you have a legitimate reason to be there, it doesn't matter if your botting or not, "seat taken". The lvl 100+ in rots....cmon man get a clue. I only report the bots that have no reason being there.

my report windows has like 40+ ppl reported mostly because why is a lvl 298+ in OF and is premmy go fk off and bot demons lazy fuck
