Skilling Project

Hey guys,

I recently started playing Tibia again after being inactive for the past year or so, mainly due to studying etc. As I don't really have time to spend playing due to college, I thought I'd get back into botting. I've always wanted to do a skilling project and thought it wouldn't be much of a hassle to do.

I am only training my melee skill as I thought it would be cool to see if I could make it to 100/10 or something close to that.

I may consider selling the char or even botting it later but for the time being I am just focusing on getting the skilling done. I bot around 12-15h's a day so progress may be a little slow.

I would for sure grab a shield if you are planning to train on mad sheeps for a while. It doesn't do any harm to have a bit of shielding if it's not too much of a hassle.

Just to clarify, he said he wants to be different and have a character with no shielding skill which is cool.

And for optimal shielding training you only need 2 things attacking you, any more just break your shielding, do excessive damage and yield the same skill increase

Yeah, 3 monsters or more break your shielding. All this does is damage you more, it does nothing in comparison to the speed of your shielding skill. - If you're using Mad Sheep, you need 2 of them and a 75+ weapon to get your Sword/Axe/Club and Shielding up simultaneously.

I think training a Knight without shielding is bizarre, you have to get all the way to 75 before you can even use a decent weapon like an Avenger. You're going to equip a shield anyway at some point throughout your Tibian life which will then increase your shielding to only then be left with shit skills like 90/53. From a selling perspective, it will not work. Unless you throw in some good EQ to compensate for the awful shielding.

I have done projects like this myself, took my level 10 to 91/91 believe me, it helped me power-game so much more faster on things like Barbarians or Deeplings due to the shielding skill. And then now, I have 99/99 magic level 9 at level 166. You will hate this when you're higher, for the sake of what? An extra spell-wand?

Guys, you need to chill this project is for fun, I genuinely couldn't care less about the difficulties later as that isn't my concern now, we'll see what happens later and whether I decide to level or sell the char. Thanks for the feedback anyways.

Shielding wont go up faster with more monsters then 2. So 3 mad sheeps is just wasting a spellwand, l2p.

I think it works best around level 10~ but can but up to 20ish before its too hard to train on mad sheep with level 75 wep as you will do too much damage and end up killing the sheep.

Well this is a skilling project and I won't even consider leveling till at least hitting 90+ axe fighting so guess it'll have to be like this for awhile.

I'm curious to know if any players have been on your screen at all? I did this exact project but with 2 sheep as I wanted my shielding, and I think I had a player on screen 3-4 times and 1 PVP death. After that I ended up taking 91/91 within 31 days of around 12h training her day I think.

As far as I know, I wasn't actually spotted but I had to move sides in the area that I was skilling as sometimes players come by and can see in battle log that someone is skilling there (not sure if anyone did though) as I realized when taking another of my char past the spot. You can see from the pictures that switched from left side to right now. But nobody has been able to get into my training spot as most newbies probably don't even know the spot exists but I'm sure oldschoolers will hehe.

Hopefully, I don't jinx it and start getting bothered by players as I am now in the top 3 highest online times on my world :rolleyes:

Either way, looks good on a level 10 man. I am intrigued to know where you are training as in the past when I did that on my level 10, I moved twice. And I ended up in the most OBVIOUS place, yet nobody ever came once! And now that level 10 of mine is level 170 with 100/100! :) Good luck either way though, dude!

hehe, I had a few guys coming for me from the same guild but now I have some safety precautions ready in case they come to visit me while I'm afk, so I'm not so worried anymore. I'm considering to starting exping after 90 but I'm also thinking to take 100 axe fighting still as I won't be able to skill as much later on at higher level, so not too sure right now. Also good luck with your chars too!

Haha man, the comments from before always have me thinking about whether I should have just trained my shielding but I think I'll just forget about that now and focus on what I set out to do in the first place! And for the training location, I don't think I'll spoil it right now, or at least not till after I'm done with it. Literally never seen anyone here until a few weeks back but the guy was part of a 'RPG' guild so its understandable how he figured out where I was, but thanks anyways :P

(For anyone that is concerned, achieving 90 axe took around 31 days with a few days off due to people coming to my training spot and also this was with varied online times of 10-24 hours a day).

That's what I'm hoping to do but who knows if I'll ever get around to actually levelling it up. I may consider it as I really wanna see what this char will be capable of at a higher level :P Guess time will tell! Till then I've got over 750 hours worth of skilling to get through :/

Yeah same here, sounded strange to me, literally asked him about anything that could have lead to his deletion but nothing was out of the ordinary. Literally even I have higher online times than him most of the time and started about a week and half before too. and also Thanks :)

Sure but if you want to make the char ur main, I would suggest training shielding.

Umm, actually I stopped training this char, not really sure if I want to continue now or later. Think I may just skill to the end of my license so who knows, don't really have much intention of using it anymore, so no reason to continue I guess haha

hm took me around 63 days with 12-24h online times and 80 skills should take 1.5weeks-2 weeks with 14h per day I guess :P

Had a char with 106/106 before I sold it. I had prem on it tho, skilled as often as I could 20-21h/day in a few secret locations which are hard to find for average Tibian player, got some fat ass that knew all the spots tho, no wonder tho he had a char with 110/107, lvl 300~ at that time and was afraid I would top him on lvl 14 :D.

It went so far that he logged out his noobchars on every spot, even in 1 access/SS spots, that's when I quit with that sht xD.
