Asus sux dick imo cuz they have some computes designed for only win 8. My NJ56 couldn't even handle 8.1 as drivers were only compatible with 8. I anyhow managed to fix it somehow, after alot of installing, uninstalling, reinstalling... most troublesome was the GPU driver. Anyways, I wanted win7 aswell but read at some forums that it wasn't worth to even try, cuz the drivers werent there for win7 at all and win8 drivers wouldn't work. 8 and 8.1 are somehow similar just that you need to know what version of the driver to use even tho it doesn't support 8.1 it will work.

And if you want win8 back just download it, put it on USB and install. There are guides that will show you how to install from USB.

You could either put all the files onto a usb stick and use that to install or buy an external dvdplayer that connects via usb, should be less then €50 for a cheap one.
