Why would you use tibiacast over twitch or youtube?

Better bandwidth consumption, better quality (actual quality), in-game chat.

Thanks, I was struggling to find anything on the tibiacast website. Interesting claim about quality though.

Why is it interesting? TibiaCast causes the Tibia client to re-render everything losslessly without any form of encoding or compression, meaning the image is not only 100% lossless, but also formatted in the best way to fit the viewers screen.

Twitch and YouTube have none of these properties.

Because that's an interesting way to design recording software. :)

Have you ever watched a replay on League of Legends or Heroes of Newerth or Dota2? It's exactly the same.

No, I had only seen a couple live streams of those. Not trying to sound argumentative here -- but wouldn't it be different since a LoL replay is actually replaying the entire game again on your system, while I assume TibiaCast is capturing live footage?

Actually I'm assuming both cases there, I'm imagining a LoL replay to be similar to a StarCraft or Warcraft 3 replay.

It just uses a text file filled with data about the game, movements/spells etc, tibia cast isn't live whatsoever it's not video. It's simply text data being read by the client.
