I think it would be nice if nodes were ignoring tiles with stairs/holes and simillar that way char will not accidentally fall into and get stuck. I know i could pay more attention but sometimes it's hard to calculate the right distance especially when you do your waypoints quick and once you make mistake it's difficult to track it back in order to fix. Such addition would make life easier.

my character still falls into stairs even if i make a special area making every 2 sqms around stairs unwalkable. This feature would really help
