What if Tibia becomes a steam application?

Hello, as the title says:

What would happen to all the bot programs which we now subscribe for and all the scripts we pay for. If tibia actually becomes a steam game?
Do you think we could still play using the client or do you think we will HAVE to run it through steam?
Also, if it HAS to be run through steam, will bots be able to work then?

I'm asking because I feel we all need to know the future for this bot.

There are so much games that works with stema atctually and nothing have changed so far.

Anyway, I don't see how its going to happen ( like items.. going to use market ? Makes no sense)

Well, since the images you linked are from the flash client the would that not mean they have to keep the old client? Because people like myself, can't play the flash client I find it horrible.

Also, steam use VAC ban system, so basically through steam you can not cheat on any game as far as I'm aware.

The only thing that worries is if they get rid of the c# client and just compile the flash one into an executable or some shit, not sure how reverse engineering works on action script but if the only option was a color bot it would be more limited.

The steam client will not be the flash client. They just used those images to showcase their game.

First of all, the client is c++ not c#. Secondly, action script can be decompiled. I do it for the flash client to find protocol changes.

CipSoft said that they will not get rid of the standalone client because they know how unpopular the flash client is. In the future they will be writing a new standalone client, but they have no timeframe when that is. You can find all this information in a couple of interviews Craban did with fan sites, and on his twitter page.

Good info! I remember when that pos flash client first came out they were talking about getting rid of the standalone one. Good thing they changed their minds.

I also remember this, it was the same time they said that c++ was not as capable as flash, made me on the inside. If for any reason the standalone client was removed, I don't think I'd ever come back to Tibia :P

My all time favorite thing though is how the flash client has a mana bar below your health bar but the standalone client doesn't. Honestly one of my favorite things about XB, fuck the flash client.

Imo flash has a lot of useless crap, if they just improved the standalone it would remove the need for it completely.

It was a stupid move on their part to make a flash client instead of re-making the old one.
