Team Hunt more for me, more fun to do. Going lizard city on two level 100 mages is fun :D

exactly. There is articles on tibia-stats that talk a lot about this using statistics to make there case.

wand = waste of mana. the higher level and ml the large waste of mana it becomes. After 50 you should stop using a wand completely and rely on vis + runes
ex.
lvl 50 & ml 50
wand average damage 65hp per 13mp or a ratio of 5hp/1mp
vis average damage 111 per 20mp or a ratio of 5.5hp/1mp

lvl 130 & ml 75
wand average damage 65hp per 13mp or a ratio of 5hp/1mp
vis average damage 172 per 20mp or a ratio of 8.6hp/1mp

lvl 250 & ml 85
wand average damage 65hp per 13mp or a ratio of 5hp/1mp
vis average damage 214 per 20mp or a ratio of 10.7hp/1mp

i used sword and shield from 0-45 in my new mage in amera. i'll start using wand when i go drags

its all based on personal preferance i think. i like to use shield (so i don't get dropped by monsters that hit hard) and sov (it adds +3 defense to the shield i wish to use). i personally was told by alot of people to use a spellbook for +3/+4 ml, but in all honesty sd wise it is only like 8-10 more damage on your min and max hits so i would rather have a chance at living longer than hitting 10 hp more
