Can I suggest that if a user is selling two or more accounts to have it in one thread?
Literally right now, the entire page is full of y2quakes chars.
I bumped my thread around 2 hours ago, and I've just wasted my bump for today because of it.
I understand HolmaN also did this before and the staff decided not to make a rule but perhaps with the increasing user count it can be changed now?
It's unfair for other traders.
Thanks.
P.S. Nothing against you Y2Quakepc2

The difference to that thread and this thread is, J.Dre decided to create a rule from his imagination and said you was violating it. Which he complained about.
This is a suggestion, not a complaint.

agreed, shouldnt have every single char in a different thread. Altho lets say you mainly sell lvl 100-200's ish.
and all of a sudden ur sellinga 400 char I think u shuld be allowed to make a new thread as it is something special.
Problem is, its hard to make a rule for cases like this, geuss its more of a Depends on the case thing

I totally understand the point and i think it is valid.
But when i made those threads, i was not going against any rule.
Now, i don't want to spend hours of my personal time modifying it and putting everything into one thread to make it look nice, nor i see this fair.
Also, i didn't even think about it, but this was already discussed before with holman's case.
What i do promisse myself, is not to post anymore new threads there, and when i get more for sale and these ones are sold i'll make 1 thread.

I'm sure a mod can merge your threads for you which takes like 5 minutes or so? - Not sure about this
It was discussed with HolmaNs case, but like I said, the community was smaller back then, Xenobot is growing.

I didn't create a rule from my imagination, lol.
He posted before 24 hours in all of his threads, so that they would be on one page. That's a real rule.

It is possible to merge the threads, the first posts in each thread, however, will be placed in the order they were originally posted.

I think it's mainly never been a rule, because honestly it takes common sense to know you're not supposed to spam the entire section with threads.
Y2Quakepc2, just because it's not technically against the rules, doesn't mean you should do it.
It would have been less work in the first place to make one thread.
If people continue to not use common sense when posting, we will start merging threads and start handing out infractions for frequent abusers.
If that doesn't work, we can add a hard limit of some sort for threads, I'd rather not do that though.
Forum space is a public resource, fucking share it.
If you're not sure that you're spamming a sub-forum, please ask someone next to you with a higher IQ.

Why don't you then make the rule, as for example other big bot forum has clearly on their forums:
Rules 2, 3 from trading section in another forum:
2. You may only have one selling thread and one buying thread.
3. You must close your previous thread before creating a new one.
We don't live in a world where common sense rules, Syntax.
So make the damn rule, write it down on the trading rules, and somebody merge all of my threads if you would.

I'm here to sell my RP.
It's currently registered under Joey address - since he is trustworthy this shouldn't be a problem. Otherwise I will just accept offers until it's in my reg (a week more or so)
"Any account you're selling MUST be in either YOUR name or UNREGISTERED BEFORE you sell it to anyone. No matter what, no discussion."
You're going against the rules, against a very clear rule, and i don't even complain about it because i don't give a shit about what you do.
But if you guys wanna raise your high iqs against somebody deffending x or y rules, then the best first step would be to follow the rules yourself, and to do the things as they have to be done.
There are rules, or there's common sense, but there's not both of them.
Enough said by my side, take the action you wanna take, i thought the only moderator of the trading section Aydin left everything pretty clean on this thread (http://forums.xenobot.net/showthread.php?30157-Complaint-Trading-Area-Y2Quakepc2-Spamming), together with Messed Around, the one who written the trading section rules, that nothing was gonna be done about it.
But well, god syntax, one of the owners of the best monopolized scripting teams and also, in consecuence, "red moderator" of xb forums, has the power to go against everybody, yay!!

Like I said, if it gets to that point, we will have to create strict rules, but I don't see it happening enough to punish everyone in that section.
There are legitimate reasons to have multiple selling and buying threads.

You seem to be one of the only ones that have trouble with forum etiquette around here.
There are rules, or there's common sense, but there's not both of them.
That's the stupidest thing I've heard today.. so far.

Yes, in the end I do, unless DarkstaR or any of the other admins, or "red moderators" as you call it, disagrees.
I don't see why it matters what scripting team I'm in, but I guess it wouldn't be a Y2Quake post without mentioning that, now would it.

Don't get bitchy because your annoying the entire forum.
I won't sell the char until it's in my address. That's why I stated that it's in joeys address AND if you look further down the thread you'll see I posted "it's x amount of days until it's in my reg"
I was simply taking offers until it's in my reg. then I would pass the info to the new owner.
If you have something to COMPLAIN about me, feel free to use the pm feature or even drop me a visitor message. Writing on a suggestion thread has nothing to do with it.
Edit: made my post more clear on my thread just FYI y2quakepc2 :) no confusion now

I added a new trading rule: Don't be a dick.
If a majority of the people who frequent the trading forums think you're being a dick, then you're being a dick. The punishment for being a dick is to take the crowd-sourced criticism to heart and use it to better your approach to creating threads.
Since it seems like you are deaf on the issue, I will walk you through this. Here's what you will do from now on:
Consolidate all of your sale threads into reasonably sized groups of similar items. Using common sense is key here. Having 3 or 4 threads is fine, provided the threads have some meaningful segregation. e.g.
[Many Accounts] Level 100-250
[Many Accounts] Level 250-350
[Many Accounts] [INSANE CHARS] 400 ED, 450 RP, 375 MS, 230+320 EK MAKERS, MORE
[SELLING GOLD] [INSANE ITEMS] Ferumbras' Hat, 3x Golden Boots, Full Master Umbral Set
I like you as a person and I like PvPing with you, but I like my staff more; they are my staff because they are some of my best friends. If I continue to see you (or anyone for that matter) going on ridiculous crusades against my staff citing "conformance" to the fine print of forum rules, I will step in. Don't forget who makes those rules.
/thread
EDIT: I just want to also clarify that the reason we do not have such strict rules about trading is the same reason that we don't censor the words "ibot" or "windbot", and the same reason that we make sure all types of conversation, regardless of any taboo subject matter, are accommodated: the staff at XenoBot believes that our users are intelligent enough to decide what is appropriate and draw the proper boundaries. We also believe in censor-free speech. In this case, your decision making failed you when it came to deciding what was appropriate.
