Hello everyone, I'm looking for feedback/brainstorming of ideas for mobile games, I feel like the catalog of games in the play store are mostly a lackluster money sucking machine or just a copy of a copy and in the end its all the same game. (with some exceptions)
The original idea here is to "port" (steal?) concepts of other games (browser games, old games, whatever) and try to translate the feel of them into a new game (definitely steal).
At this early stage I'm mostly looking for arcade/puzzle game ideas with a strong/unique central mechanic, with a lot of replay value. For example , same gameplay but shared across many levels (could have a level editor too).
This is mainly for profit purposes so if you have any marketing tips they are very well welcome.
And how should I approach the whole "copying ideas" deal? should I mention "based on the famous ..." or just neglect the information and roll with it?
