I'll start this thread off ^^
So I was playing shadowcores and making some garbage waypoint scripts learning how to use the bot, my bot was cracked then and now I buy licence every month since I feel the need to support Darkstar for his work.
So anyway, I was looking through the screenshot thread when I saw Infernal Bolt's thread about how he got 220 only facc and I was amazed, though why not try it myself so I made a thread and 2 accs that were facc which are now both 165~. I started botting my 50 knight on Antica which is now 200ek. I think I made some good progress :D
Post your stories below, just short quick read :)

First cavebot I used was TibiaAuto and I used that for about a week and then moved on to Tibiabot NG.
TibiaAuto was hard to learn but it worked alright, I wanted something simpler so that's why I moved to Tibiabot NG.
When depositors first came to bots it was like god sent, before that you'd use alarms and go refill manually when the character was out of supplies/cap.
This was around 2006, time really flies

This was my first bot

I started playing Tibia in late Spring of 2004, took a couple weeks to get to main, then I pretty much quit after getting killed so many times.
Then of course, the dreaded "Tibia addiction" is with me, so I come back a week or two later on another world that JUST opened (Xantera) in June.
Eventually had the guts to tell all my friends about my addiction towards an online game and was able to lure 7 in.
So, we all played Xantera for awhile until we started getting bored of being stuck at level 30 for long weeks.
We found a picture, I can't remember what fansite, most likely Tibia.de; we found this picture of these players playing as elves, demons, heroes, necromancers with mega-rare sets. So, we spent hours trying to research what this game was and why it was very similar to Tibia. Lo and behold, OpenTibia was discovered.
I wouldn't be surprised if I had 1000 viruses on my computer after trying to download a bunch of stuff that would allow me to play a game that lets me kill people as a demon. So, I eventually found a way to connect to servers using the built-in IP changer in the 7.1 Tibia client. Back then, there was no IP-changer program, you could just simply set the IP of whatever server you're connecting to within the Tibia client options, here's a picture from the 7.1 Tibia client.

And there it was, my first connection to a community outside of Tibia in general. I joined OpenTibia by playing my first ever server called Evuldeeds. Evuldeeds was one of the more popular war servers back in the day where you could choose to be an elf scout (paladin), necromancer (mage), hero (knight) and everyone had insane sets like e-plate, horned helmet, dragon scale legs, golden boots, etc. The excitement in me was through the roof, but the excitement in me with PVP was not fun. Let's put it this way, I sucked. But that doesn't stop me and my friends from playing Evuldeeds everyday for a week before we find out that there were other servers to play.
Yipeee! A server that wasn't a war server. I joined to play my second server ever, Amondals 7.1. Amondals was a Survival map server with additions of other maps like Dundert and Infiresla. 14 year old me back in the day thought it was badass to stay up past 11 while my parents slept, so that's what I ended up doing for a week on Amondals. Then one day, while I'm roughly between rank 10 and 15 in top levels, this guy, out of nowhere, complete crushes my fucking ass like I've never seen before. I actually froze in horror in what I just saw. Some guy shot SDs at me about 10 times, without missing, while I'm running around. If you've played Tibia back in the day before the aimbot was implemented in the Tibia client, shooting any single-target rune on another moving player is something that requires lottery-type luck.
So, I ask this guy, "How did you hit all SDs?", he tells me, "secret". From that point on, I knew he cheated. But what I didn't immediately get was; how can you cheat in Tibia? I wasn't so smart with computers back in the day, all I kept thinking about was some text-input field where you can enter cheatcodes that you'd find on www.cheatcodes.com or something. So, I ask the dude where I can find all the cheatcodes. He gives me a link to a website called OTCommunity. I wanted to beat myself for not finding this website earlier, it had EVERYTHING! It had servers that you could download and run, it had a server list that you can find servers to play, it had tools you can download, it was such a revolutionary moment for me.
So, I download this thing that the guy linked me to. I had no idea why I'd need to download anything. I think I had some idea that this was something like GameShark where you could run as a software and plug games into? 14 year old me had no idea what I was getting into, other than the fact that it could just be my 1001st virus on my computer, but I didn't care, I downloaded anyways. It's a program called "AimOwnage" (as shown in the first picture above), with instructions and a table for hotkeys. I'm thinking it might just be another name for GameShark, so I try it out anyways and I follow the instructions in Readme.txt.
Here's what the Readme.txt file included. (http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=1MmKGyNz)
And holy shit, I may have been the happiest kid in the whole world at that point. There's me on Amondals, dropping nuclear bombs on any player within sight. There was no exhaust, so you can imagine the utter distruction that I was deploying on other people, even monsters. From that point on, I got hooked to cheating. I went from 10-15 on the highscore list to 2 (1 was obviously the owner). The power I had was so addicting, I was so fucking hungry for more.
So fucking hungry that I decided to go back onto that war server, Evuldeeds. It was a fucking massacre, I destroyed everyone in my path, I mowed them down like they were just grass. And this continued for a long time until both servers ceased to run again. There you have it, my first bot was AimOwnage. I took a hiatus on OpenTibia and decided to go back to my friends on Xantera only for a couple weeks before we moved to Antica in 2006. As technology advanced over those years, there were bots that automatically moved your guy through waypoints, automatically healed/use potions, automatically pick up all your spears. So, I found TibiaAuto and used that for awhile, didn't get much progress other than getting to level 30 much faster than I did on Xantera. Technology advancement didn't stop; TibiaBot NG was introduced, so I used that until I was 70. I went to play on other worlds like Pacera, Silvera, and Solera. TibiaBot NG was probably the bot that I used the longest of them all. Then Ekx releases ElfBot, so I used that to get my first ever level 100 character on Unitera. I didn't bot as much as I used to on TibiaBot NG though. Then of course, Ekx ceased ElfBot production and I explored other bots; tada, I find TUGBot/XenoBot and bought it (@Evan was my lifetime account before I sold it). I used it a little bit, but I just found no desire to compete with other players and enjoyed playing the game manually.
And here I am today, I currently do not bot, but I follow everybody here. I am a global moderator for OTLand. Still in the Tibian community for over 10 years now. Life is good!

Evan is about as old as me, I guess. Old-timers unite! :D He also doesn't live too far from me.
I won't share a long story again because there has already been one of these threads. But, back to your question... I started with TibiaBotNG for fishing/rune making. That's how I made a living in Tibia, back in the day. I believe that was back in 2004, maybe 2005? I had started playing Tibia in 5th grade, which was the 2002-2003 academic year. When I had started, I did not know about botting. I was a complete newbie and didn't even know much of mainland. Mainland was a legend in Dolera and Rookgaard was constantly full of people. The community was great. Mainland was seen as a place where people go to die, haha.

Haha, how are ya? Haven't seen you in awhile on OTLand. Definitely old-timers we are!
Tibia is pretty much shaping my life at this point, OT was the main reason I earned a BS in Computer Science at U of M.

im with Infernal Bolt started with tibiauto, although at the time is was complicated to bot, and they where not as advance as today, no refills, reconnects, alrams, afk , very simple, hunt in this cave, manually go back and resupply/deposit walk back to cave and keep going. I think the "new" era of bot was with Daniel's, BlackD bot. Back in 06-07

I was bored of playing manually after 5 days of playing so downloaded trial of ElfBot NG, made own script ( just Targeting, WPT and Healer + Looter ) and went 0.01% AFK because I was so excited about that my char is doing everything without me. It was like ; ok bot is running, i went away for 3 mins and get back to computer to see how much manas left and went afk again..
Lovely times!

I started out with Tibia GG and Tasker as well, huge advantage not having to pick up spears during training, ability to "dance" in front of nosy Satori and Black Dragon members along the shores of Ab'Dendriel, and doing runes during nights.
I remember some people were desperately using Tasker to try log into the server (there where no ques and could be hard as FACC) by letting Tasker spam account name / pass, and when they logged in it continues if you were AFK hahaha.
And as someone before mentioned, the deposited & refill functions in scripts were a true blessing.
Also, maybe you could help me out. I used a bot I can't remember the name of, but it had some real neat build in functions, two of these were monk/ghoul auto attack switcher, to prevent the monk from dying which helped me reach and incredible distance skill with my Paladin. Another thing it had was a function to run to a certain sqm for safety when a person entered the screen, you could use VIP's too. Really helpful when making afk runes outside your house or remote PZ ;) Anyone know the name of this old bot?
Then I used Tibiabot NG and Black D Tools, Elfbot and finally Xenobot.
I must add that cheating for me has almost been an equal part of the game as anything else. There is no better feeling to get your hands on a bad ass script, cheating - and getting away with it! It's the first thing I look up when I'm (always) returning to Tibia after a couple of months/years, what bots are available and which one is the best! I wouldn't play Tibia manually at all, It's fun sometimes but getting those levels you need a little backup to save your real life.
Thank's to countless bots during the years I've been able to make my mom happy, having decent girlfriends and studied as heck all while playing Tibia! So thank's to DarkstaR and to anyone before him really! :D
