Hey everyone, I decided to make a small tutorial on "How to secure a Tibia account when buying one". Some people don't seem to know it, so it might be usefull :)
There are three things that you need to change to prevent the old owner from taking the account back.
The recovery key.
The address registration.
The e-mailadres.
And also the password :D but I guess that's obvious.
The recovery key:
First of all the recovery key. A recovery key can be used to recover the account incase you lose acces to the account. As long as the old owner of the account still has the recovery key for the account, he could hack the account. To change the recovery key of an account you have to order a confirmation key on the "Lost account section (https://secure.tibia.com/account/?subtopic=lostaccount)" of Tibia.com
How to order a confirmation key:
Go to https://secure.tibia.com/account/?subtopic=accountmanagement
Click on the "Account lost" button.
Enter the account name or character name.
Select "I need a new recovery key".
Select "I would like to request a new recovery key. I am prepared to pay 5 EUR for this service."
Proceed in purchasing the confirmation key.
The confirmation key will arrive by the real life mail system on the address that is entered in the account registration. Once it has arrived it looks like this (http://imgur.com/GlME5Ms). The letter will give you information on how to use it. But if someone gives you a confirmation key this is how to use it:
Go to https://secure.tibia.com/account/?subtopic=accountmanagement
Click on the "Account lost" button.
Enter the account name.
Select "I need a new recovery key".
Select "I have already received the letter with the confirmation key for a new recovery key."
Enter the confirmation key.
Write down the new recovery key. (The old recovery key will now be invalid.)
Please note that a confirmation key is valid for 6 months after you have ordered it. It can only be used once, so after you have used it it doesn't have a purpose anymore. The recovery key that you will get by using the confirmation key can be used as many times as you like.
The address registration:
To be able to receive a confirmation key and to prevent the old owner of being able to receive a confirmation key, the account needs to be on your "address registration". The address registration can be found in this (http://imgur.com/G3u3Lp8) part of the Account management on Tibia.com. Make sure that you change this to your own information.
After you have submitted the request to change it, it takes 30 days before you can confirm the address registration. Within this 30 days it can be cancelled at any time if you like. Please note that the registration will also be cancelled if you use a confirmation key during this 30 days. So either use the confirmation key before starting the address registration change, or after.
The e-mailadres:
The e-mailadres can be used to get a new password for your Tibia account, so you want to change this if you buy an account from someone. If you have a recovery key for the account you can change the e-mailadres instantly. This is how:

Click on the "Account lost" button.
Enter the account name.
Select "I want to change the e-mailadres of my account instantly".
Enter the new e-mailadres you would like to have the account assigned to.
Enter the recovery key.
if you don't have a recovery key for the account you can change the e-mailadres on the Account management page of Tibia.com. If you change the e-mailadres without using the recovery key it will take 30 days before you can confirm the changes.
