CipSoft knows who is an isn't using software with their client. It was quite obvious that they implemented a form of malware to monitor such activity. Tibia Standalone Client - Win32:Evo-gen [Susp] (http://forums.xenobot.net/showthread.php?33187-Tibia-Standalone-Client-Win32-Evo-gen-Susp-Is-this-Tibia-s-quot-secret-weapon-quot) They may have slipped up here because the day after I installed this client, they launched an update and the same anti-virus software I use did not detect it with the new client patch.

If you bot 24/7 and AFK, you will be banished or punished eventually. It's only a matter of time. Reports are actually investigated.

you can speak more about the evo-gen

They have the ability to track every botter. (Note: Not implying they actually do, just suggesting they can.) They simply can't banish every botter even if they wanted to because then more than half of their player base would be gone. They created the report system and other malware like this to punish the most severe cases and most careless/reckless botters. Also, there are GM's again, so don't be so naive to believe AFK botting won't result in a banishment. It can and probably will. That said, XenoBot is likely the safest application available for botting, and definitely the most efficient. It probably isn't causing the detection. You botting AFK and receiving reports is probably what brought attention to you.

I'd bet if we somehow collected data on player behavior and knew which people botted AFK or at screen, more than 3/4's of all banishments would have been of AFK botters that botted all day long or did not respond when approached. I've botted for many years and have always done so while at the computer, and have very rarely ever been punished (maybe 2-3 times).

DarkstaR: Would it be possible to implement something into the bot to track/collect this information, like if a player doesn't interact for X minutes, it starts a timer and tallies them being AFK? XenoBot Activity Monitor. Would be interesting to be able to know exactly what the player was doing and what their behaviors were to better determine how they're detected or why they're banished. Up to you to decide whether or not it'd even be worth it... And it probably is not worth it, lol.

It's not hacking. Also, you should read their terms and agreements. According to their policy, you do not own or have any rights to anything related to the account(s) you play. You are basically being allowed to use an account at their discretion, and because of this, they can do whatever they wish for whatever reason at anytime.

J. Dre, that was a false positive. There's no malware in the Tibia client; AV authors are just too aggressive with their signatures.

That's what I thought at first but it didn't happen after the next update.

Btw, did you see my post above regarding the activity monitoring? That's what I wanted you to see.

They probably noticed the signature and patched it away by changing the code, because no legit game wants to be flagged as malware.

Yeah, not much to say on that, I'm not really in the business of collecting data lol
