While it is true that the the bot sometimes walks where it isn't supposed to, it's mostly an issue when there's other creatures nearby. Inside Ankrahmun we can get away with just laying better waypoints. Only stands should be used and they should be laid in straight vertical or horizontal lines, i.e. a stand in every corner.

It's not about the lags or bot trying to avoid people. It simply ignores special areas completely, if it happens in town then it probably can happen anywhere and should be fixed

If you lay your waypoints better it doesn't matter if you have special areas or not; the bot will not walk up the pyramid. Creatures matter because they make the bot's pathfinding unpredictable from the scripter's point of view. Yes there is a bug, but in this case there is also a workaround.

Yes, I could as well add an module to step down the pyramide if it fails so I dont have to use as many stands which increase refill time by lot so I rather wait for the fix or use first option like I did for yalahar nightmares. Cheers for your feedback though.

Also, the walker only ignores special areas that wasn't visible on the screen when it started walking towards the current node, so laying the waypoints closer together circumvents the bug. And position checkers in Ank only really works if you've already greatly limited the number of places where it could possibly walk up a pyramid.

Probably yeah. But as you said, no matter what you do if someone blocks your main path you're fucked unless special areas are fixed and it can go around without risking getting stuck.

I recommend to refrain from using stands where node should be used. Playing on a hardcore/retro server, someone standing on your waypoint will make you stuck, and also using stands where you can as well use well working nodes reduces detection rate since it's not exact pattern. Furthermore it's true what Nakuu says that nodes should work as intended and special areas likewise. It's no excuse that there's ways around it. Including that XenoBot falls down on stairs and shit like that, sure it's fixable by adding checkers on _every stair_ but is that really what we're supposed to do, or can't we wish for a bot that shouldn't do that in the first place? Thus this is a bug report.

You can wish all you want, but if you're charging money for a script you better it make sure it works somewhat reliably despite of bugs in the engine. And see my last post for a better workaround.

Isn't it better to get stuck than die by 8 level blocking certain sqm?

You don't get stuck if you use nodes. Nodes and special areas work just fine if they're within one screen of each other, which I pointed out the my last post on the previous page.

Did you see how it happened?
I've recorded it many times and when XenoBot walking he accidently going up/down stairs he is not supposed to due to trying to walk past a monster or just the classic bug. This error with special areas and normal walker has been reported so long time ago without any progress or update. Try to record with tibiacast or something so we can know what happened. At this point all we know is that you fell down/up a stair you were not supposed to.
Further on, this is a BUG-REPORT thread about an error with the bot. For assistance/bug-reporting or our scripts please use our main script thread under Paid Scripts, thanks.
