This has been reported multiple times in the past, this is what Darkstar had to say about the issue half a year ago:

I plan on re-vamping the entire looter soon. The code is very old and messy, and when I added the duster, it came with a few bugs because of that.

I will make it much better when I do a full re-code. Until then, sadly, it will stay a bit fucked up.
