View Full Version : Improving skinning function

So after botting many hours in vamps I have figured out that the bot tries to skin (dust) the corpse as fast as it tries to loot it. However, when skinning or dusting there is a short cooldown which it is not on opening corpses.
To put this in context lets say you have 3 corpses laying on the ground waiting to be dusted. Since the dusting process happens after the bot has looted the bodies it works just fine as long as there is loot to pick up. However when the bot is not opening the corpse due to no interesting loot it will instantly try to dust every corpse. It will then successfully dust the first one, then miss the next and maybe the one after depending on how close they are to eachother. So my suggestion is either just put a short delay (half a second or so), or to implement a third option to the skin/dust function, something like "Passively wait" for those who argue that the experience will suffer due to wait time etc.
Hope I made some sense, cheers

So that's why it fails so often ;) I never figured out what it was that caused it to bug out. Anyways, there are plenty of lua skinners on these forums that work way better than the built-in skinner.

ah yeah, true.. I believe it's quite an easy fix tho, and I believe everyone would like if the official xenobot functions works as close to flawless as possible :p
