confirmation key

i know that confirmation key should be valid for 6 month so when u buying if someone ordered a confirmation letter within the last 6 months it is gonna be a problem
i need to buy an account but the guy ordered a confirmation key 3 months ago and he said he used to get the rk , which he can provide but is there a way to make sure the confirmation key is already used
or prove that the rk he is providing comes from the confirmation key ordered 3 months ago?

You can see how many confirmation keys have been ordered in the accounts payment history. If only one key has ever been ordered, then you know the recovery key goes with it. Unfortunately if multiple confirmation keys have been ordered I think you are out of luck, as I couldn't find any record of confirmation key usage in my account.

And, as you probably already know, he can still order a new confirmation key to the address on the registration after you get the account details, so until you change the reg which takes 30 days the account is not safe.
