Official Xeno Scripts best and worst thing to happen to xeno?

Sure free "quality made scripts" for xeno is awesome i mean u save so much by using xeno and using the free scritpts.


however the one downside im currently being frustrated with is the over filled caves of people using the exact same script im using.

im finding myself looking at the get scripts option within xeno and finding out which scripts i can find on forum that xeno does not offer and start using those so i can actually kill things lol which sucks really because there is so many great xeno scripts but they are just all full


but i mean i also hated when i bought a script paid like 6-10 bucks and it was also full and i felt i wasted it.

and then they deleted every old free script so searching for new ones takes 2 seconds because there isnt any and the motivation of people to make new ones isnt there because of free ones

theres an up and down side to it whatever way you look at it just thought id see what everyone else had to say about it

if u still have old scripts some of them still working. anothers old scripts just need to change the depositer code or maybe the buy pots. u dont need to change soo much for make it work.
i have script from 2013 and them keep work good just changed the code for deposit and for buy manas.
maybe u can share the problem and we as community can help you.

worst thing is they wiped the forum.
its impossible to just get simple lua scripts for people that doesn't know lua and even if you request something extremely simpel such as stealth ring when there is mobs around u (i dont even think someone has made this yet even though its been requested tons of times since the wipe) And there is also almost nobody around to make such scripts, almost every help thread is completely ignored and nobody seems to be releasing any scripts.

also if you google different scripts for xenobot u will 90% hit a page that doesn't exist becuz of the wipe

another example, in a recent thread i made about loot hud a guy said he already made such a script that I was in need of but since the forum is wiped it's not possible to get it.

only way I figured out how to make my own scripts with depositer etc was because I found simple lua scripts on ANOTHER forum that I could actually edit to make my own scripts (the official lua scripts are too advanced for this for me)

The official xenobot scripts are trash. Any equivalent script you can find (especially if we are talking about another bots) you'll get more xp/gold, more safer and most important you don't need to edit the settings and waste hours trying to get the best of it.

And the forum is dead after the "wipe". And you can bet that old scripters aren't coming back to remake their scripts. And most of them went to anothers bots since they'll profit more. The only good scripter around now is the shadowart...

It's a vicious cycle. Xenobot can be easily cracked, A LOT more "users" will use because of it, due to the nature of these "users", paid scripts are more likely to be shared, talented scripters will leave etc etc...

The lack of features and slow updates (how long xenobot needed to do the skinner update?) also helps a lot.

And I'm not sure if it's on my side, but I thought xeno was "slow" compared to the alternatives. Looks like they fixed some of shooting issues on this lat update...

But well, no way I'm paying $8 month for this.

Surely you're not going to make such a bold claim without any proof? Anecdotal evidence isn't evidence.

Before the wipe, most of the new posts were "where to find forgee.lua" or "help me with this old script that nobody has ever used". A lot of the old scripts wouldn't even work well with new updates. It will take time to rebuild the information, but it was worth it to get rid of outdated information.

Maybe you should check your information? The skinner updates took 10 minutes. The reason the update took a while is because of the other MASSIVE changes that I wanted to get perfectly tested. I bought multiple characters over the past 3 weeks and ran the bot for over 300 collective hours to ensure that all of the new features were working as expected. I'm sorry that you're not used to such attention to detail in updates from other bot makes.


And I'm not sure if it's on my side, but I thought xeno was "slow" compared to the alternatives. Looks like they fixed some of shooting issues on this lat update...

I can say you're "slow" compared to other people, but it's irrelevant. Unless you can provide some details or benchmarks, it's hard to even begin to deduce what you intend for me to improve.

No, you're probably just using a crack like other scumbags. You have a pretty high opinion for somebody who doesn't even pay for the software. It's like getting a free lunch and then complaining about the food.

Our script engineer is undergoing a move IRL, so he's going to be inactive for another few weeks. After that, I'll keep pushing them to make sure we keep rolling out high quality scripts for multiple locations so that this problem goes away.

Remember that this is still a new change and it does take some times to perfect these types of things. This industry (Tibia bots, as a whole) has been around and booming since 2009. We've made a huge innovation after nearly 7 years of operation on a stagnated model, and that innovation will require some fine-tuning. i agree a little bit

i think some of the free scripts included in xeno are not tested(or tested on a 300 ms for a level 60 script) specificaly mage scripts require a lot of fine tuning (example, edron dragon lair for MS when entering the main spawn it runs the first dragon into the whole cave and ends up with multiple dragons/hatchlings chasing you, kinda dangerous)so i stopped using the mage scripts and just use EKs

but still even without these free scripts i would still buy xenobot and all the free scripts are fine really(never died using one)its just a nice feature to have built in if you cant be botherd looking for or making a script you can just click "get scripts" launch edit the config and go outside or something.. you dont even have to be in the right city ! really nice for lazy ppl like me

perfectly understandable this thread wasn't intended to be a xeno bashing thread like 1 or 2 made it into it was just leaving my opinion on the free scripts feature and get everyone elses.

more scripts will help a lot. i bot a lot of knights and mages but i know for a fact my friend is having a real problem botting his paladin with xeno there so is limited lower level paladin scripts 20-60 and every script he tries is completely full its rough

but i will for sure send a msg on slack and see if i can suggest a few places that could be possible future scirpts and let you know what i have for chars to test on

Well yeah before you could chose fto buy scripts from all over Tibia, now I struggle to find a script that I want to use, I see all those caves that are perfect that nobody is in but there are so few scripts and those places are crowded. And indeed the forum wipe was really bad, especially all those old .lua files. I had so many good luas before my computer crashed, now I struggle to find a single one that I know existed in the forums before :( Before there was so much now it seems pretty dead..

Why don't you request some lua script that you want? It's not like there's nobody capable of making them.

hehe i tried for 1 month bump every other day but nobody responded even :P 1 guy helped m now recently after 1.5 months tho with safe exori vis (if some1 3sqm away dont shoot), now i saw u updated it tho xD

can you tell me how ur safety works?

like exori, if some1 1 sqm away from hitting area he wont shoot or what? its easy to fail a botter like that :)

For area spells/runes, there is a 2-3 SQM buffer (depending on size of rune/spell). For strike spells, there is a 3 SQM buffer. For wave spells, IIRC, it wont shoot at all with players on screen, in case it fails to turn or something.

Official scripts are great thing! Only thing I dislike are "reccomended levels", because they seems to be a bit high (At least on ED scripts I tested, eg. Darashia DL), but it's not huge issue. Also it would be nice if there were more scripts available, because there would be less people in same spots running through same paths, etc. But I guess it is probablly just a matter of time until we get more of them.
