Hello!

I've recently bought an account from a more or less shady seller. Might been a bit naive of me but I decided to take a leap of faith and just go with it.

I got no recovery key, the seller said he didn't have it. The account is registered to a fake adress. Meaning the seller can't buy a recovery key. I have complete control over the email. It's super is secure and I'm confident not even the FBI can get access to it.

I have also set up an authenticator on the tibia account.

If let's say the seller actually has the recovery key. Is it possible to get the account hacked during the 30 day period before I can buy a confirmation key to my address?

I know that if the seller has a recovery key I'm screwed, but I'm sure the seller doesn't have one.

Yeah he can get it back using the last email as it takes 30 days for it to change, you can also check the purchase history to see if he ordered a new confirmation key recently and if he did he most likely will take it back

Do you even read bro he has full control over email and if its done to fake address the last person who owned the account wont get a recovery key no matter what...

on topic if he has a recovery key yeah you kinda screwed but if not seems pretty save to me that you should be alright but dont take my word on that stranger things have happend

Thanks for the tip about the payments history. No confirmation key has been bought so I'm safe there.

But let's say he would have the recovery key. How could he hack me if I have an authenticator? Doesn't an autheticator need a confirmation key to be disabled? Fake address = no confirmation key = authenticator stays active meaning impossible to be hacked.

With the recovery key you can change it all.

Okay so safest bet here is that he doesn't have the recovery key. Let's hope he's honest about that.
