Money Making. Axe Vs. Sword

Ive always wondered which weapon type is best for a knight. I know a lot of people like to use axes, but whats the reason behind it? As a moneymaker is axing better? Swording has always been my choice because its convenient and ive always used them.

Tell me what you think. Axing or swording for a moneymaking knight.

Well, I use swords on mine because on level 75 you get Avenger which is great and only costs 10-15k. Slap that on and some decent gear and you have a great MM.

You got average higher attack with axe fighting, at least on the later weapons. I think that's the main reason why people like axe fighting, including myself since it's became a habbit for knights.

Generally money makers don't really get "good" eq unless you manage to reach a decent level (200~) with them, so until that point, you'd be better off with an avenger, since it has high attack and high defense as well. If you're planning on actually getting your money maker to a high level, give it an axe so you can use a hellforged/demonwing axe, so you can get the best exp/hr or profit/hr as you can.

When you use a weapon without a shield(1 or 2 handed it doesnt matter) the defense ofthe weapon acts as shielding defense however is uses the skills stats. When you use an avenger its like using a shield with 38 defense + a shielding skill = to your sword level. Its a great price at 10k-30k and super easy to get. This is great for botters, people who want to save money, people who hate training to get shielding(a training dummy is so easy to use)

The best attack set up is solar axe + blessed shield. This isnt realistic for most people.

The best most people can afford is Hellforged Axe + ice shield(or bloodbrothers if you dont count charging)

True what you say soul4soul, if you want to farm and so on, avenger is the best choice really, eventhough I prefer to use shield + sca as knight, but that's just my taste in gameplay :)

A guy on my old world has the only blessed shield in game, and paid well over 1k euros for it, lol.

Personally by opinion, I always use axe, just because I find lower level axes are better than swords. And more convenient to buy. ex: npcs~

Say i were trying to farm an army of lvl 10s with 80/80+ skills. Which weapon do you thnk i should do if i were trying to make a lot of cash or even just sell the chars.

idk why but i just love axe.. even tho the Earthborn Titan Armor is so expensive i really dont ahve to wear it iits jsut awesome:)

On a serious knight I go axe, on a moneymaker I go sword (cheap and great for that purpose) :)

farming knights to 80/80 is a lot harder then you think. Its not worth the time your going to put into it. Its a no brainer to use an avenger for a moneymaker. Until your characters reach level 75 a bright sword and a tower shield or better will work. Using a shield doesnt effect the rate at which your sword skill increases so it doesnt matter if you start with one and then stop using a shield after lvl 75.

I have used this set up on 9 characters to date.
