So I just bought a new laptop and i noticed that instead of having the f# keys (f1, f2, f3, f4, etc) as the keys when i hit those buttons, the main priority goes to the extra functions that hp has designated to them (like brighter/dimmer screen, mute, volume up/down)
To use the f# keys like a normal computer I need to hit fn then they key which is extremely annoying esp for tibia hotkeys

Does anyone have a solution/suggestion to change the priority on the f keys to the actual hotkeys instead of the extra functions? I dont think a fn key lock would work because for some reason my shift key is a pause button with fn on. Any ideas?

hp pavilion dv6-6c35dx entertainment pc <---is the the laptop i have if that changes anything :p

Yup my DELL XPS laptop had the same problem, I wanted to refill on manas and suddenly I was forced to choose battery usage mode, or my exura ico hotkey did nothing but make my screen dimmer lol.

Simple, restart your computer and press the function key that gives you access to your bios and change the function hotkeys from there. Been there done that, easily solved problem, don't despair! Follow messed around link! Perfect explanation.
