So you want to be a PRO paladin... You need to consider a number of things. We'll discuss these first
Skill
Do YOU have what it takes to seriously play a paladin? It takes a lot of effort and a lot of dp trips for the first few levels, and of course at higher levels you'll need to be quick with the mouse for looting and improving exp rates. My suggestion is to try get an OT (even host your own) with a paladin. Get spawns etc set to the same as RL tibia but exp set to 20x... Level from 20-50 at a tomb, 50-80 at hydras, and 80-150 at nightmares and hellspawns. If you can do this in under an hour, you can quite easily be a very good paladin. If not, you may wish to reconsider.
Perception
Not so important with this vocation, but still a good skill to have. You need to be able to perceive distances to obtain maximum efficiancy. A lot of the paladins you see will be rich and high levels, this doesn't come in the blink of an eye. You need to be constantly watching your distance from your target, you need to know your area spell (Divine Caledra - sp?) and you need to comprehend how to do maximum damage. We all know about the 2 step rule... I hope. If you're running a creature (Hydra etc...) You want to take 2 steps then wait for a distance shot to disperse, then 2 more, and another shot... This is optimum for performance. Of course slower creatures require you to take 1 step and faster ones maybe 3 steps.
Clockwatcher
Are you a clockwatcher? Do you constantly sit at work and look at the clock every 5 minutes? If you do, you won't fare well as a Paladin. Perhaps a mage would be best.
So, now we've eliminated those of you who probably aren't right for this vocation... Let's get on to some actual tutorialness.
First off you need to create your character. This is important because you want people to know to fear you. Make sure you choose a 1 word name between 5 and 8 characters long. Any longer and it's too much, any less and people won't notice you.
Get through rook your own way, noone cares how. Just try have about 500gp when you leave. Buy exura at level 9 and head for PACC: Darashia FACC: Carlin. When there, buy Exura and PACC: head for Edron.
Hunt trolls with spears which YOU PURCHASED FROM THE SHOP. You won't be able to hunt for more than an hour without a trip to town as your skills will be low.
Now... Make another character, use 5 characters in the name and make it something easily forgettable. Larzi for instance, is a forgettable name. It has no sharp sounds. Don't start your name with "N", "D", "P", "T" or "G".
Make this character a druid or sorcerer, it's not important which, and level it to 28 or so... Enough to make a monk and if you don't have any funding try make some icicles. Doesn't matter where you level, make sure it's on a different account to the Paladin, and MC the paladin at trolls with the druid at the opposing spawn (If one is at edron the other is at Ab'dendriel), when the druid hits 20 buy a crimson sword and hit up Darashia rotworms to speed things up a little. It sounds like a reasonabley high level to obtain but it takes just 2-3 days and provides you with a free, unlimited supply of monks. You also should get about 10k in this time which you will spend entirely on spears. You should take both chars to Ab'dendriel and find a spot to train all day and all night with spears. You can use the bot to do a conditional...
Label "wait"
pause 50000
If $CountC_{SPEARID} < 5 "buyspears" else "wait"
Label "buyspears"
you can guess the rest if you have half a brain.
Try to do this with as light eq as possible, keep your rook set if you like but use some shield (possibley dragon if you have 10k or so... buy the shield for 4k!)
Do this until your money runs out, or if you're making runes sell them at the highest possible price... BE PATIENT AS YOU WILL NEED AS MUCH CASH AS POSSIBLE. You should train until distance 80. If you are strap for cash hit up some trolls, they drop spears and money, use the money to buy more spears... Once you hit 65 dist it will become harder and harder to train, but you will be able to train successfully until 80 dist with 2 monks, as your attack power is also based on your level, which, being low, means your damage is still relatively low.
So, you're level 9-15 ish, and have no cash but 80 distance...
Rotworms for a few levels and some gold, get about 5k and use it for manas and spears... Then use my script released (if you're botting) for Liberty bay Rotworms (Paladin version). Use this to get about level 30 and you can change it or download the Royal Spear version. If you're FACC you should seriously consider buying Premium as you will need to get your promotion so you can hunt later on anyway. If you really don't want to this is as far as I'll take it, but I'll tell you Fibula is good for both Rotworms and Dragon/DLs when you are level 50~. In between, consider that Dwarf Guards drop lots to lootbag.
So, Premium, level 30, 81 distance... Head for Peninsula tomb. Make your own script, avoid the ghost (I beleive it's north east somewhere), and try to make it efficiant. You will take 40k/h at level 30, and about 60k/h at level 70. This is when you will stop. At level 70 you should move on to various places. Dragons are good for money, so Edron / Venore / Fibula / Yalahar (Yes, they still exist!) / Darashia dragons are good. Don't bother with Ankrahmun, it's shit. Dragons will give about 110k/h and good profit. I suggest looting gold and making a lootbag just so you can keep it all. If you get a rare keep it on you and do the blue djinn quest, as any vocation prefers blue since most commonly looted items are sold there. Also do rashid at some point soon, you'll need it later. You should continue to hunt Dragons until 100.
At 100, the real fun comes out. You get to walk really fucking slowly and have to wear a shit heavy helmet for a few levels. Go to quaras, get yourself a helmet of the deep and do the explorer society quest to the rank where you can buy a helmet of the deep and travel to the underwater kingdom (Calassa). At this point you should also gain access to Yalahar and hit up the sunken quarter. Do this until you've looted 5 quara fins. It's good profit, good exp, and saves you money from having to buy the fins yourself.
You should be between 100 and 105 by the time you're done, you can carry on to 110 quite happily, but you don't need to.
Do the norseman quest. All of it. Get access to the deepest mines and get the outfit. Once you've done this go to the layers of the tombs and find an area which suits YOU. I suggest Nightmares and possibley plaguesmiths, but this can be hardcore. You may wish to go back to quaras for a while first, some may wish to try out cults as theres good money to be made. If absolutely none of this appeals to you, spend a lot of money on the boat between thais and Liberty Bay until you get stranded on Goroma. Do the quests and walk through the underground areas (killing the quaras) to get to the Hydra and GS isles. Try both, one will appeal to you.
From now on, continue at these spots until you feel ready to move out and explore demons (solo or with a team), hydras (most likely at Banuta), or whatever else you enjoy.
