View Full Version : Changes With The Key System

So, I've noticed that, more than previously expected, people have been needing to change their licences. Due to the constant abuse of the system between licence sharers, I've had some trouble coming up with a system that is fair but I believe I've finally worked one out. The key system now uses the following formula to determine how long you must wait to change your key:

$changeDays = min(14, amountOfChanges * 2);

What this basically says is that the time you must wait is proportional to the amount of times you've changed your key. The first time has a wait of 0 days and can be done immediately. The second time you try to change your key, you must wait 2 days. The third time, 4 days. The fourth time, 6 days. This value increases by increments of two but tops out at 14. This means that no one will ever have to wait more than 14 days to change their key. Since this new system comes with a "free" change and has longer wait times, I will hold to the protocol I set in place previously: Neither myself, nor any staff, will reset your key for you. Any complaints about the system, unless in the case of a fault of the bot, will be ignored. It is up to you to make sure your system is completely fixed and ready to operate before you use your free reset.

Will the amount of of changes ever decrease? Like every 60 days its goes down 1 making you decrease time go down 2 days? Im not in love with this idea but I do see some merit in the idea.

Looking at the forums it appears a bigger problem is the way HWIDs are assigned. They are changing too often on the same machine making people have to re-register the same machine. I even remember seeing a thread some where for taking tests to have a new method to get HWIDs.

HWIDs haven't been a problem, as you're mentioning, for months now. They only change between in the event of a reformat, hardware change, or machine change.

I have never changed computer and no one has ever used it but me and im expected to just lose my use of it because it says its registered to a new machine? Seriously? I have done nothing wrong. It worked fine for 15 days and then suddenly didnt. I clicked change machine so it came back but then it crashed - reopened and it said i must wait 14 days!!!

can you add something to the formula to reduce a day back for each month u have kept the same HWID?
i haven't had any trouble yet, but sometimes when i add new peripherials to my computer i have to change the registered HWID more than once, that's why sometimes i spent only 60 out of 90 neobot days i bought xD
or let us change HWDI for 3 or more xeno days

just buy a "new" key...especially now when u cant buy more than 30days...

"Any complaints about the system, unless in the case of a fault of the bot, will be ignored" well how about listen to YOUR customers...

Just a poor way for Ds to make more $

Its not like the bot costs a fortune though.... for anyone that is complaining~ but other than that I would figure out what your problem is if your having to change your keys that often.....

Hey, retardo, learn to fucking read the post you quoted.

I said unless fault of the bot. That means if it's my fault, I fix it. If its your fault, you've been an idiot and have to live with it. It's the real world, repercussions exist. Get over it.

I've suggested for a very long time that we introduce a service to reset HWID for a small fee ($0.50 - $1.00). DarkstaR hasn't gotten to implementing it.

OOps, u replied, did i step on a toe...;) I just ment that maybe some of your costumer have a great idea, u should listen. I think there are a couple of better ideas here than your solution. I dont know why people want to change there key so often and I dont care, but to buy a new key solves someones problem AND u dont loose anything=win win. Nice language btw. If I called you those bad word I probably be banned...but its your forum so fall into line, be praised god.

Just curious shouldn't there be like a cooldown aswell?

Like if you actually change computer more than 5 times, or reformate your hardware DI~

This thread is like a year old, man. Don't post in it. Ask questions where they belong.
