View Full Version : Video surface allocation failed (error Code 13)
I always get this Error when i sleep my computer. Ive read things about it and it means that im using the wrong graphics engine. Im currently using DX9 and things work perfectly but when i sleep my PC and turn it back on i always have a crashed client and this error. When i change the graphics to DX5 i can sleep it just fine, but the quality is garbage.
Does anyone know a solution to this problem without having to use DX5?

Right-click on your Tibia icon and select Properties. In the tab Shortcut, look for the line Target. Leave everything in this line as it is. Only at the end of the line leave a space, then add engine, leave another space and add 0 for DirectX 5.0, or 1 for OpenGL, or 2 for DirectX 9.0. If you are in doubt which graphics engine to use, try out which option works best for you.
Anyway to do it if you do not use a shortcut? I have like 13 different tibia clients on my pc so i dont like to use shortcuts anymore :P
I read that on the tibia website before, i dont think it worked, but i guess ill try it again.

I've got the same problem, just make the computer not sleep whenever your botting and turn the monitor off? Or if it's a Laptop just close the screen as much as u can and turn the brightness to 0 :)

Switch user first and then put it to sleep.
It's got fuckall to do with your graphics settings, It's a tibia or windows bug. I get it all the time when i go fullscreen on WoW or Minecraft and various other games.
