[Magebomb Team] Ocera Takeover

In light of this thread (http://forums.xenobot.net/showthread.php?5842), I've decided to help in the takeover with a magebomb team. I'm collaborating with HolmaN to get him to bot up 15~ characters while I develop the main software. My idea is to make the software modular in the sense that the commander runs a main server that others connect too, each running a magebomb client which acts on commands from the main server. This can allow for people to have their own set of 15~ characters or whatever and still participate in the bomb. It also allows for HUGE bombs as they aren't all from the same machine (trying to log 20+ characters on and bomb from the same machine can get TERRIBLY slow). If I do make this bomb, I'm not gonna worry about safety/detectability. Everyone is welcome to start botting throwaway accounts up to level 50~ on Ocera so we can get this shit going. I'd love to see a bomb so big it fills every free tile on the map.

A mage to 45~50 in facc on an empty server takes a week on 8 hour days. Trading off 3 characters in the same spawn waiting for stamina would == 3 characters a week per reasonable spawn. Fib rots, folda trolls, undeads (past 30) and trolls (pre 30) are some good spawns and that's just naming a few. Definitely doable - I just don't have time to do it myself.

Me too, hopefully we get people interested. Having a new magebomb in play will change war dynamics once more. I've got some sick ideas to counteract current preventative measures.

Helped friends doing some large magebombs back in 7.6 and so on, funnier there isnt seriously. Especially if you got personal reasons for your targets ;)

You think BOTTING a mage is hard, try making a good magebomb. I have something awesome planned out. Going to use ØMQ sockets to make it easier but it's going to be crazy nonetheless. We're talking a magebomb that could handle ~1000 characters if you had enough machines.

I think we can use some advanced calculations to say we only need X players to kill this person, so let's only use this many. It will help endlessly being able to calculate our approximate damage, and if 1 person has a control centre for it, they can then continue to say "shoot extra 5 sds" if someone didn't die by first attempt due to eq changes or a misfire on one person etc...

Thats a freaking exciting idea, Imma try to get involved, but I have to find free time. Some chars from BOP just walk red skull full set and 90% of them bot 24/7, we can make some great things there and some great money too. They are immensely rich so its gonna be funny, btw they hunt all mages so it will be really tricky and we gonna need to act smart. I played there some time and hate those guys, count me :)

I would rather do Solera since I'm actually in war there to be honest, but Ocera is a better target IMO. Empty server makes it easier to level. Also, with a main ruling guild that's unopposed, loot will be inevitable and the damage will come unexpected. On full servers like Solera, high level red's wont leave PZ if you throw 1kk on the floor cause everyone instabop's redskulls

Nick makes a damn good point, who in their right mind is gonna roll up and gfb 20 magebomb chars? If we each have a few shots, if someone does that they will take yellow skull on all players and they are fucked, instantly and insanely fucked.

Also note if we have a couple of people who get "left out" or login late to a bomb, they can be useful as stair blockers... So we can't die even if they want to kill us...

There isnt a world like Ocera, anywhere else, I have no words to describe its state, totally fucked up server, you have no idea, just create a char there and you will understand. (I was a ingenous boy searching for the most NA server at those days, just wanting to play in peace...)
What I can say is that it is the most empty server and almost all good spawns to mid level mages are free, its not hard to bot a money maker and hopefully we can incentivate more ppl to do the same: start contesting tiranic guilds, which have BOP of ocera as its max iconical representation.
And the most important is that there isnt any type of opposition since 5 or more years ago, there isnt any created high lvl char that is not from BOP and all other chars had transfered or were bought by BOP, so we will only have to be concerned with them and there wont be any backstabbers trying to benefit from the possible chaos situation.

Love the solo kill haha, sounds neat though, always love to get some cocky fucker back. I had it a few times on Olympa where people were trolling me & I went, lured a few mobs when they are hunting drakens etc and just took them out, such a great feeling.

1 in 100 war declarations get accepted. There was a time when anyone could've come to Olympa and gotten a warmode from Dashers (the leading guild), but I think they are too busy with warzones on the new quest. The only way to get someone back is through luring... I'm not gonna say pvp has lost it, but luring requires a considerable amount of skill, and even on PVP servers, is better than killing with actual PVP, due to the increased loss of exp & blessings... I've spent a long time practicing though, so I can kill pretty much anyone I want at the minute, might take me 2-3 attempts. A few days ago some guys were in walls, power abusing my guild out, so I turned up and lured on them... Made a level 400+ ek and 400+ ed both hit red several times and have to go a bit extreme spam heal to survive, but I started lagging (possibly got pinged) and had to head out...

I'll be having 4 chars in rook 24/7 so once a char leaves rook another one will replace it. So after a few batches I can probably give out some level 8's with basic gear if people are too lazy with rook.

I've got the guts of the program done, RSA encryption coded along with XTEA encryption and decryption. Initial login packet creation is nearly down for the login but I haven't finished yet.

Guild Members: 303 (Online: 39) Online on Ocera: 176

You're correct, that it's a lot of members, but they can't all take unjusts on us, and they can't kill us solo. At least 2 people are required to kill a level 45 mage (unless they are very lucky or the mage is very bad / laggy). The simple facts are they are mostly red skull already, there are probably only 100 players (of 300 characters), and they will die provided this is done properly.

Botting "hidden" isn't too hard, it just means being clever. For instance, botting darashia dragons is not advised. Botting VDL, however, is probably more secretive. Botting TDL, is probably the safest and best place. Same sort of thing for other resps, sticking to FACC lands is probably best, since they won't hunt much there due to bad spawns, but since we will be botting, and not caring as much, we can pretty much take any spawn on FACC, provided we are respectful & careful.

I used to do a red skull trap in the past with my mates on ocera on thais flats. We profited around 7kk there with that, but this fags from BOP usually rushed our defense, and killed us all, even tho we hold the defence with a knight level 80 ;p

Definitely need a char there, I did 2 afk rook script characters on a world at a certain time and it literally took more than a whole day for them to get to main, might as well have manualed them, but now I can bot 1 at a time not having to rush to get to main to start botting :)! Plus having a moneymaker before my mages get to main isn't a bad idea. I'd really appreciate it.

I just went and looked at that world.. and it seriously has 1 guild with all members being the highest lvls. I'll assume this was given up. Even if you did kill them it would take a huge amount of players to actually give them the boot. What a horrible waste of a server.

No idea m8. But what I could get was that it wasn't finished, only able to masslog atm with it. And because of noone finished their characters on Ocera its not released yet... Don't know really just remembered he talked about it in the video so, I guess it's not released untill it has been given a proper shot! :P
