Anyone? I love it. I just got a humble trek 3900 but it does the work for me, I ride every day for about 1 hour on hills next to my house!

I also riding on mtb but not on mountains I live near sea xD so only in forests etc. I made my mtb and it is awesome :D , sorry for my english but I think you understand something xD

yes its great and its only 10 minutes from my house in bike and you can go up for hours and hours, the route is huge for any levels!
i love it too :P thats why i ride almost everyday for 1:30 here

I've got a Gary Fisher Wahoo-Disc. Love them disc brakes.

looks great Forgee, i wanna change to disc brakes too, thinking of shimano XTR breaks...expensive but very useful lol

Those XTR's look awesome. Mine are non-hydraulic (aka mechanical :p) but I don't feel any lack of braking power.
But, if something's worth doing, it's worth doing well. :)

For me, an important advantage of the discs is when it's wet and you get water and mud on the rims. While rim mounted brakes loose braking power, the discs stay relatively clean and I don't sense a loss of power in the same manner.

For me its an advantage on really long descents (over 1 hour) v-brakes get so hot that stop working good so ive been adviced to take hidraulics on consideration
