Hello.
Well recently i bought a character witch was prooven to be hacked later on.
After trying to get in contact with the seller for 2 days straight now, i decided to try to do a refund on paypal.

Tho, since this was paid as a gift, i know the odds are pretty low.
Therefor, i wonder if anyone on here had previous experience and would like to give me some advices about this.

Really need to solve this, but i don't know how.

Sincerely.
Alex.

Contact your bank and they'll be able to open a dispute with paypal. :)

Problem with buying accounts is that paypals policy basically states that when trading virtual goods, the seller holds prestige for past transactions. That means if the seller has done trades of this nature before (taken payment as a gift of similar amounts of money) they will believe the seller.

I had a buyer try to chargeback on me a few months ago and it was far too easy to convince paypal that the buyer was trying to scam me, I just told them it was a trade of virtual goods, and sent them a copy of the descriptive post & some supporting posts on the forum through which I sold it. They checked out the threads, checked my account history, and decided in my favour. Fortunately I'm not a scammer, but sometimes people can get away with this shit very easily.

I'll give you a tip:

NEVER MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT GAMES, OR ONLINE. Always refer to your transactions as "I have not yet received my product"

Refer to it as "product", use big words and NEVER mention a GAME at all.

^ This too. As soon as they find out it's for virtual goods your money is as good as gone.

That's the risk of buying non-material goods with Paypal. I think they should make a policy or add a system for secure online trading. The past years Paypal is getting worse and worse to use as both a buyer and a seller.
