How many of use you tunnel to play?

As the title says, Do you use tunnel to play? such as pingzapper or tibia tunnel etc

Do you even know what it is? Tunnel is a way to reduce you lag in 50-80%.

Tunnel is used to reduce lag (in short).

Search the web for SSH Tunnels for gaming or just SSH tunnels if you are tech savvy.

Also check sites like pingzapper, lowerping and such, it will give you a good idea of how tunnels work.

I used the free version of tibiatunnel for OTs which made a significant improvement, but never really found a tunnel or any software for that matter that worked for me in real tibia.

Gonza, try Pingzapper... it free if you disconnect every one hour. Then you can buy really cheap the monthly subscription.

The thing about tunnels is... you need to have at least a 2mbps internet (saw on a random forum), it must not be 3G or be a internet with poor routing (radio, and such).
So if you have a good internet but Tibia is slow, this is due to the distance the packets have to "run" before they reach you back, with a tunnel you can get yourself a clean route to tibia servers thus reducing the ping/latency, whatever you call it.

usually its 50-80% better with tunnels.

I bought a month once, i'm from venezuela and the difference was giant, i didn't really need it but i wanted to test it, most of my friends use it to hardcore-lvl(walls, dt, ghastly dragons etc etc etc).

Alright, so pingzapper worked for me in european servers, my connection went from red to orange, so it's playable.
However, on US servers, it doesn't change much, probably an improvement of 50ms or so I think, but I need to test it on a higher level than 70.

Well it depends on your location. on pingzapper you can choose from several diferent locations plus you can ping all of their servers see which one works best for ya :)

I googled SSH Tunnels, and only thing it did was bring up tutorials etc about them. If it does reduce lag immensly, I would like to know how to set it up etc. If anyone could help I would gladly appreciate it :D

reaper15 to get started with Tunnel I would recommend the trial account of pingzapper, google it.

Lukasz, the platform shouldnt interfere with the speeds... Did you select a server that is close to the server you play? Ie. Playing in a US server and you selected the Dallas 01 server from pingzapper. If you pick a server in UK from pingzapper it might lag. Also check your internet, see if ur not downloading aything or windows updating

i think tunnels work fine when you play in a server away from you.. like latin americans who plays on a usa or european servers

reaper15 are you experiencing lag at all? pingzapper should do the trick... if it didint changing service wont chance a thing, they are all very similar and basic.
