I had already msg from msn to download skype, and my contacts will be there but nothing :> so still using msn. What u think about this idea also? Theres a lot of people which using msn only I think.

I think it's good, hopefully they don't mess with skype too much, it's pretty good as it is right now.

I think its a good move my microsoft. they were developing 2 pieces of software which did the same thing. You can use your msn email directly with skype which is nice. I only use MSN and even then I use only use their web interface as long as they keep that I wont be bothered by it.

I'm always on skype anyway, so doesn't make much difference to me, though the ability to communicate via SMS will be a big factor in their next few steps. What they need to do is release SMS chat for free on pcs, since it's easy enough to do by anyone (just need to know the service provider of the person you are sending an SMS to, and a you can get a list of addresses to which you send an email, which is then sent, from the mail server, to the persons phone).

If they don't do that programs like WhatsApp etc will take over, as they have the ability to send IMs between various mobile phones without paying.

Give it a year or two and phone calls will be free, to the whole world (excluding landlines), and people will just pay per Gb of data used.
