The classic question: sword or axe?

Hi there.

I'm currently leveling a knight using an axe as my weapon, but I've been told by some friends that sword is the "better" way to go. Though the only pros with using sword as far as I can see is that they're generally cheaper and provide more defense. I'm thinking that sword is better for profit but in the long end it doesn't really matter, axe might be ahead by a tiny bit due to higher attack. Defense won't matter as late game monsters use spells instead of physical attacks.


What do you guys think?

I can't decide between Solar Axe and Shiny Blade .. But If I had to.. It would be Solar Axe.. Or maybe Shiny Blade :S

Haha, that's exactly what my thoughts were. My final decision was basically based on the sprites, I believe axes address me more >_<.

I always use swords.. There's no decent reason why.. It's just what I've always used so I stick with it :p

Club, new 2 handed club will be the strongest weapon (that is somehow easy to obtain).

In my opinion:
-Axe is the most awesone weapon. But expensive and some axes are hard to get.
-Sword its more balance. Easy weapon to get and to bot.
-Club its more like a def weapon. Very cheap.

Somehow, it's easyer to sell an axe knight than a sword knight. Atleast it used to be when I was a reseller.

Axe for the win. U make a lot more dmg at higher levels withd ETA+Demonwing and u rarely care about dmg u get since u always have a druid with you xD

I was a fan of axes for quite a while but now prefer swords. Cheaper, easier to get, better (shiny blade + shield of corruption, FGA) and nicer sprites.

as @dinmamma said.... club is the new axe but heavier and its easier to obtain if u compare to a demonwing, lets put it this way,..

BEFORE update, demon wing won with atk 53 , 2 handed

AFTER Update gonna be like this:

Best 1 handed weapon is axe with atk 53, Best 2 handed weapon is Club with atk 55 but im 450+ ek and from my point of view I dont care if I wear a shield or not, I only care about damage ... plus where every knight 300+ hunts are places where u tank more than 2 monsters wich makes ur shield unusefull and ofc i'll go for the 2 handed.
