Profit is not counting medicine pouches :P I am getting my ass kicked by filth toads and terror birds, but imo it is not worth to try to go around them as they give more exp and come in group so you don't need to run around

I am using throwing stars, cuz I bought them in bulk, so it was cheaper than spears for me.
Although ofc in config everyone can change weapon and amount.
