Game of Thrones Season 5 - Episode 1 premieres April 12th, 2015

10 years ago these were my favourite books but as time has passed the number of characters that I actually care about has diminished greatly. Dany and the Lannisters changed to the worse (Tyrion in particular) and I don't really like any of these new guys. I'll probably stay till the end just to see what happen to Arya and Jon though.

I liked the first episode. Not going to watch the leaked episodes until they air on TV though.

A friend at school told me Brand isn't in season 5 at all... wtf? Srsly? That was such a huge part of last season.

But he spent the whole last fucking season finding the god damn 3-eyed raven. He finally found him, after the whole fucking season, and now there's going to be no mention of him for this whole season? Godfuckingdamnititbetternotbetrue.

I don't see what could be so bad about the show unless you have a total aversion to the genre as a whole. If you like the basic HBO formula of sex and violence it should at least warrant a 'not bad' IMHO

Read the books then the show, and I found the series sub par compared to other epic fantasy series such as Wheel of Time, Sword of Truth, or even The Demon Cycle.

We really don't agree in taste. I dropped Sword of Truth half way through the first book, Demon Cycle after the first book and Wheel of Time after The Gathering Storm (ironically Sanderson is my favorite author nowadays).

Sorry for bumping, but last two episodes were awesome! Especially when dragon burned these bitches.
